Hardwick keeps saying that the season is too long and it reduces the quality of games. His opinion is that it teams should only play each other once making it 17 rounds long plus the finals. Hird says that the season is fine as is and it needs to be hard to thin out the weaker teams. I think teams should play each other twice with a month gap in between maybe even scrapping the pre season (which I don't like anyway the round robin thing is stupid). So something like 17 matches then 4 weeks break then another 17 matches then finals. What are your thoughts?

why not make it 4 on the interchange and then your 3 emergencies are your 3 subs which can ONLY be used if there is an on-field injury? so no one is a man down or whatever.

Welcome AmericanDemon! glad to have you aboard the pain train. At least we can say we've won the 4 most premierships in the league (12) even if the last one was in 1964. Also we have won the most premierships within 7 yrs, I think something like 6 flags in 7 years.

Apparently Chris Knights is battling fitness issues this year which is why he has only played 5 games. In SANFL he's played only 8 games and kicked 11 goals. Don't know how many disposals or whether he is playing mid or up fwd not an Eagles fan so I don't pay attention to him. In 2007 he had an average disposal of 23.4 in the midfield and kicked 5.12 from 22 games. In 2008 he had an average disposal of 20.8 in the midfield and kicked 4.3 from 16 games. In 2009 he was moved up forward and had an average disposal of 17.6 and kicked 43.25 from 20 games. In 2010 he had an average disposal of 15 up fwd and kicked 2.2 from 5 games. He battled with Injuries that year. In 2011 he had an average disposal of 18.2 up fwd and kicked 10.16 from 16 games. He had fitness problems this year. He turns 26 next month and I think if he can get fit he'd be a great addition to our midfield and even fill in the forward line when we need him.

he was absolutely awesome in 2006/2007, but after that he has been a bit average then with the inclusion of dangerfield i think his spot was taken so maybe he will fire for us if we get him. Plus i think he's better than most our mids at the moment.

they should of waited another week before they brought him in that's all. It will not be a reoccurring injury unless he pushes himself too hard. No way should we trade him but I think he should have been contracted to 2 years not 3.

i'd grab him for two years but would he come to the club? He might want to end his career at Geelong even if it means only 1 year instead of two or three.

i dont really care who is made captain next year but i think that the coach should choose a leadership group then out of those nominated players the playing group votes who they think should be captain.

Stuie don't worry about it mate, just ignore him. The only thing I like about Eddie is he sticks up for his club. Yes he goes WAAAAAYYYY overboard but I don't think anyone high up in MFC speaks loudly enough, at least that I have noticed.

i wouldnt say 2 compensation picks is successful. we could have approached the AFL and argued that he was our number 1 pick and we've only have him for 2 yrs. There should of been something like a minimum of 50 games kinda rule so they cant poach young players from clubs who are rebuilding.
