  1. This 100%. Now is the time sadly. I was receptive to moving Oliver and Petty last year and taking six first rounders to the draft last year which, in hindsight, might have avoided a few of the problems we’ve currently got but might have made some worse. We just have to get used to this kind of rapid fire player movement and put together a decent environment so we can make it work for us the other way - Increased player movement isn’t a one way street.
  2. One last thing and this applies to Nibbler too - if you’re that keen to get home, demanding to go a single club is a bit rich. If you’re prioritising family, then a job’s a job and you can’t care that much where you do it.
  3. Richmond have plenty. We’ll have the two thanks chaps and you can have the one.
  4. Go for Harley. Kozzie is clearly gone at some point and West Coast are all over the shop - no way Harley says no to coming home at some stage. Boom, we have our Trac replacement and about a million draft picks. The family thing is real. Frequent interstate trips to see them aren’t helpful - they’re actually a giant pain and doesn’t help with the day to day support young parents can need.
  5. Methinks head office has had enough of this rubbish and is sending its mouthpiece out accordingly
  6. Um, yes, was an attempt at satire
  7. Bet that will be a walk in the park for her.
  8. Rumour has it Pick 5 asked to be traded at its exit meeting this week
  9. Just a really nice guy, always had time for a chat when we were at our local coffee shop at the same time. Wish him nothing but the best, and he deserved better from us.
  10. Yeah, maybe don’t open the AFL app today if you’re already upset about Kozzie
  11. Stopping it before it got out of hand would be one option they could have gone with
  12. Not sure. i think clubs will be so dazzled by the idea of having him that they will talk themselves into thinking it’s a Melbourne thing not a Trac thing, and that it will go away when he moves. Good luck to them
  13. This is astounding. If remotely true it sounds like he’s basically lost the plot
  14. Depressingly true
  15. God, why would they do that to themselves? I’d have thought the club would install parental controls on their phones or something with a block on fan sites lol
  16. Jesus wept, get a grip. Greg Wells is as big a departure as Christian Petracca?
  17. Not sure if serious. Please tell me you aren’t
  18. Oh yeah because competing with Cripps instead will definitely be easier
  19. He’s not thinking about you mate
  20. Was Tim Kelly 3 x firsts? I can’t remember. If so, that’s surely our baseline
  21. That’s not what I said. He’s one of the best players I’ve seen at Melbourne in my lifetime, and certainly one of the biggest game changers. But if we wants to leave, and we think he might not ever recover to his absolute best, then we should absolutely let him and sell high
  22. I suspect part of the reason he’s quiet is that we are trying to get him what he wants, and that our public stance on holding him to his contract is just posturing in the meantime. Honestly, if he wants to play for another club we should just get on with facilitating it
  23. Honestly at this point if a club was mad enough to offer 3 firsts, or two and a decent player, you’d have to jump at it. He clearly is deeply unhappy, doesn’t want to put the speculation to bed, and is going to be a massive distraction next year even if he does stay. Put together with the fact that he may never get back to his best, and is 29 next year, three firsts would be a godsend ahead of Tassie coming in
  24. Sure, love the footy. But drop the idea of owning the lives of a bunch of 28 year olds who really don’t owe you anything
