2019 Player Reviews: #28 Oscar McDonald
He will be fine - Superman couldn’t have kept oppo key forwards quiet this year

2019 Player Reviews: #30 Alex Neal-Bullen
Looks great in a humming side when it all clicks, looks a disaster when it’s not going well. But he deserves his spot and another crack next year.

5 Demons to watch in 2020
They knew he was a natural forward, where he played most of 2018. He was moved back at the end of 2018, when we needed a sweeper type in defence. They left him in that role for most of 2019, which was odd, but they knew damn well he was a forward after they drafted him as one...

How do you rate our trade period?
If McDonald and Melksham get back on the park next year we will be fine up forward. We probably forget how damaging Melksham in particular can be. I think we did extremely well - got the outside players we needed who push a couple of fringe players out. It also takes Brayshaw, Jones, Salem, Hunt and god knows who else off the wings We can use 3 or really push GWS - I reckon they will pony up before the draft with something decent

Preuss to Work on Forward Craft
Here's an idea. How about recruiting a bloody forward instead.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
There's some amazing nonsense on this thread. Let's assume bringing him in doesn't kill our salary cap space (which, given he's almost a direct swap for Lewis and Garlett, it couldn't possibly). Is he better than any of ANB, either of the Wagners, JKH, Lockhart, Dunkley or some of the other fringe players regularly getting games with us? Of course he is. It's an utter no-brainer. If he's a walk up start at GWS, he sure as he is a walk up start for us.

Are you actually joking? Or is this a serious suggestion that if you had to choose, you'd take Frost?

Mad monday celebrations
What possible right do you, or any of the other 'livid' people on this thread, have to dictate to players about their holidays? For god's sake, they chase around a piece of leather for your entertainment. You don't own them. Their holidays, and what they do on them, are none of your bloody business.

Jake Lever - Suspected Ankle Injury
Sure, but to what end?

Jake Lever - Suspected Ankle Injury
If that's true, and it's a big if, why the hell are we playing him??

Jeremy Finlayson
I'd like to know the 10 he's suppressing at GWS...

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
Not sure how more hasn't been made of this. This was an utterly ridiculous goal for a big guy to shark. Amazing stuff.

Lack of marking.
Not sure about this. Gawn is a sensational pack mark and pulled in a few last night which reminded me of last year. He's taken a number of huge contested marks down back in particular to save goals, but up forward as well. Weeds is getting up there, and Tom McDonald is probably the only player we've had in years who takes one grab marks at his highest point. Brayshaw and Oliver have very strong hands for young mids And Melksham is a great mark for his size. Concern is overblown. We're fine

Jack Viney and the medical staff...
I've heard exactly the same thing, albeit via a foot specialist who also knows the surgeon.

Gawn Hospitalised Days Prior to Round 1
Knowing our penchant for coming up with novel ways of losing players to career ending injury, he'll probably be the first player ever to lose a leg to flesh eating bacteria....

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Absolutely hates Melbourne. He'd say anything.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Maybe he hates being there....

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I wonder whether things change, and he thought he could get home easily and it would all be good. Now it hasn't worked like that, perhaps he realises what a mess it will be playing with us. Still, imagine playing with GC next year. Yuk. Hogan isn't exactly a culture builder.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Tend to agree, equally we're putting May in the position where he can't publicly state his intentions in the same way as Hogan isn't, so we're kind of giving him cover to wait it out without being under pressure to go public, and also saving face if it all falls through.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
After all that bluster, posting how strong a position we are in on every single page of the thread, and having the gall to call me jelly-kneed when I proposed pragmatism early on. Lol at you, my friend.
