No big deal. Ready for a bye.

Brayden Maynard
Yeah true I suppose

Jordan Lewis was pushed out the door. It’s a completely different situation. You’re talking about approaching Pendlebury and convincing him to come here. Not going to happen.

TEAMS: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
We traded for him expecting Tom McDonald to be gone or in the 2s. Not sure where you’ve been hiding if you don’t know that.

Brayden Maynard
I’d have Maynard over any of the first three in a heartbeat. Joel Smith has proven he isn’t up to the grade at the least, whereas at least Maynard has smashed it for years in a top 4 team

Brayden Maynard
The odds of that are zero. He’s the games record holder for captains at Collingwood. There’s no way he’s going anywhere, childhood dreams or not.

I have to admit, I think I misread the original post and thought it said Hibberd wasn’t a lockdown defender. Not sure it did in hindsight

Did you miss Hibberd schooling Dusty Martin?

Maybe 100-200. But at that price and in the context, Daniher was a better bet for them

6 Dees in AFL.com.au Mid Year All Australian Team
Gee, half the backline is pretty impressive

Blues Blues
Nope Sam Mitchell is next. Hawthorn’s problem is that Mitchell is out of contract and wants to coach next year, but Clarkson is contracted until end of next year. They’d never say it, but Hawthorn would absolutely love Clarkson to leave to avoid having to choose between sacking a 4x premiership coach and potentially losing their next one.

Depends what a reasonable portion means I guess. Collingwood are paying $300k of Treloar’s this year and that’s about the most extreme example you’ll ever see. I doubt we felt under pressure enough to pay anything like that so anybody taking Tommy wouldn’t be saving that much. I guarantee if he was out of contract and someone could have got away with paying him $400-500k he’d be gone. For what it’s worth aren’t we all glad he isn’t!

Fooled them alright. That was a blatant block but the AFL loves scoring so I’m sure the umps are told to ignore those.

TMac is on about $800k a year I think so not sure that really holds true

Most Improved Player This Season
ANB was this good in 2018. Spargo has absolutely found another level. Tmac is the most improved from 2020, but probably not from his previous best. I’d almost argue Oliver. Sure he got lot of touches over the last few years but he is utterly dominating games and providing huge drive and damage. Could mount an argument on the same lines for Trac. Most improved doesn’t always have to be the fringe players.

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Langdon has to come in. Hunt might go and Salem, if they don’t come up. Otherwise it’s really tough but probably Sparrow if he’s only up to 58% time.

Who cares?? It’s not like it made the remotest difference!

POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs Brisbane
Rivers another who stepped it up in the second half. Started playing in front, took a couple of hugely important marks, and gave us heaps of drive through the middle. But make no mistake it was Oliver and Trac who turned it for us. Oliver’s drive is immense now that he’s finally kicking it more like we’ve all been hoping he would, but still has those quick hands to create stuff like Tom McDonald’s goal out of nothing. And Trac just holds his feet in the contest when he’s in it but explodes away from it with such power. Definitely two of the best 5-6 players in the comp now. I can’t think of anyone other than Dusty I’d rather have, and even then I’d probably prefer these two. Our defence also sorted out its [censored] in the second half and May in particular took some great marks. Hibberd really shut Charlie Cameron out all night - he was a non-entity. Sparrow didn’t do heaps but flushing that goal from outside 50 was magic. We are up and rolling. That was a massive, massive win.

Because hanging [censored] on players three minutes after the siren goes when we are 11-1 is a [censored] effort

He’s also incredibly hard at it and creates a lot of options. Competes incredibly well. He’s always been underrated by most on here!
