It changes a lot of the thinking doesn't it Wadda? ... especially in the Slipper where a bolter could get up if the track is really heavy. 'Written By' has won on a heavy8 though ... and then we've got 'Santos' and my favourite 'Sunlight'. The winner could come from those 3. But if the conditions are really heavy then who knows? 'Performer' has drawn wide as has Estijaab'

Well ... there's your exacta/quinella Wadda (Ace High/Cliff's Edge) I reckon they've got the others covered. D'argento could run on. The query is the weather and the state of the track ... given the forecast at best it might end up being a soft 6 or soft 7 but it could end up being heavy conditions.

Even the Tab are paying 5.00 ... and Sportsbet. Ladbrokes 4.60. But it's all-in betting I believe. It will shorten you'd reckon. A week ago it was showing 3.00 so it's another mystery.

You can get 5.00 for 'Ace High' Wadda ... which, by the way, is very good odds as I'm as confident as you are with regards to the horses chances. Might be 'All-in' betting but it could be assumed that the horse will run (?) While I'm here, here's a link to all the Podcasts from Radio Station RSN927 ... this morning's interview by Michael Felgate with trainer Colin Little was fascinating (scroll down to Racing Pulse on that link to listen) Other podcasts to look out for within that link are ... 'The Verdict' (Mondays) & 'The Breakfast Club Podcast' (Monday to Friday) ... there's a stack of others though.

It's such a shame with Chautauqua ... at his best the horse has breathtaking finishing speed. Of course, the horse has won over $8.8Million for the connections but let's hope the end isn't nigh anyway. And there's another story connected to 'Tom Melbourne' ... apparently Blake Shinn had the persuader tangled up with the reins for the last 300 metres in Saturday's Ajax Stakes ... so the horse wasn't given every chance to win. Good old Tom just can't take a trick. Anyway, a picture tells a thousand words ...

Whilst the focus well & truly goes to Rosehill next Saturday for the 5 Group 1 events there's also 3 decent races at Moonee Valley on Friday evening including the Group 1 1200m William Reid Stakes 500k (an excellent field assembled too) There's also the Sunline Stakes (Group 2) & The Alexandra Stakes (Group 3) on at the Valley as well. Anyway, here's a replay of 3 of those Group 1's from last year's Golden Slipper Day.

We're getting talked about a lot aren't we? Beats the hell out of being irrelevant & uncompetitive. We're a long way from being hated but that would be good too. Great in fact. -
There's a bit of movement hey ... Green Bay let go of Rodgers favourite receiver in Jordy Nelson. Well, more to the point, they offered him such a low deal that it seems that they were ushering him out the door. It's a ruthless business. At least we've finally brought in a decent tight-end in Jimmy Graham. Muhammad Wilkerson is a welcome addition as well. The new GM seems to have changed the thinking with regards to free agents - and not within time. The Raiders aren't paying Nelson that much (15mil over 2 years) ... I would have found a way to keep him or those dollars.
-
Or, if you got an early collect or 2 Wadda you can keep your initial stake (and a bit extra) and then keep betting with your winnings. I looked up his twitter account but couldn't find his tips ... a google search was no good either. It's a mystery.

As for James Jordan's tips ... if you chose to not back any of his odds-on/even money tips today then you may have only had 5 only win bets at Morphettville. 4 of them saluted paying as follows ... 2.50, 3.30, 3.50 & 4.00. The other lost by a nose and was paying 3.30. 2 of his 4 odds-on chances won for an overall win rate of 6 from 9.
-
Backing each horse to win seperately might be the go much like it could be with James Jordan's tips. Break even or turn a handy profit if the strike rate is at least 50%. I will be doing it that way at Morphettville next week. As for our tips ... back them straight out and do a 4 pick multi just in case (?)

I did a few trifectas based on his picks but that didn't work It's multi them up if we can get the tips early or just back his picks to win straight out (as they come) ... but it's early doors Wadda. The good bit is that he could save us doing the form in Adelaide ... he certainly knows what he's talking about.

A couple more races worth a look at ... Tonight - Ascot 1000 Guineas 3yo Fillies Race 7 (8.05pm) Sha Tin (Sunday) $3.5Million Hong Kong Derby 2000m (7.35pm) Quite a number of familiar horses in the HK Derby and it's interesting that the age of the horses is 4 ... must be something to do with universal birthdates in the Northern hemisphere. Is it an Jan 1st?

Looks a good horse worth following Wadda. Jamie Kah (the jockey) was saying that it's a very special horse so there you go. Good pick D77 2 from 4 today with our best bets ... the 2 that missed were disappointing though. James Jordan is worth following too ... 6 wins from 9 and could have had a couple more.

Tom Melbourne comes 2nd again! ... Comin' Through wins well though and is nicely weighted for the Doncaster (according to Waller)
