Ha ha ha! Only audio at my end but Rodgers is just Rodgers isn't he? Pre that Rodgers throw to set up the field goal attempt, I was more concerned about the Crosby kick There's a confidence in Rodgers that doesn't include him not getting it done

Pack Pack Pack!!! Crosby gets it done The extended weekend just keeps getting better & better! Big win in SF. Games that matter you've got to win
  3. Winners are Grinners, GD!!! Party time! (in lockdown??? wtf)
  4. That's true, but there is a good chance that next year at least a couple of other teams will improve like we have this season The FD will know that we can't rest on our laurels ... we might get a few long term injuries to a couple of our better players and a few might go off the boil. Competition for spots needs to be fierce so all things considered, we need to add some talent to the list And a few players (or more) need to stay for a bit less money ... but if we do lose a player or 2, we need to play hard-ball with regards to trading And when you're in a position of strength, that can all happen
  5. That can often be the reaction but it might be related to not being completely satisfied with just the one premiership Yes we were clearly the best team this year but who doesn't want more of the same? That's my overwhelmimg reaction but it's not anticlimactic in my case More so a hunger for more success. All the Tiger & Hawk supporters I know are the same. Never satisfied The selfish gene at work and greed is good, AF!
  6. Not that it made a skerrick of difference but there were a few obvious errors that in the end, evened itself out (although, it must be said, we did lead the free kick count 19-13) The high tackle on Kossie, hands in the back against Brown not paid, holding the man to Brown for a 'lingering' tackle and the mark to May not paid You win big by having having high talent levels, a solid & flexible game plan and top level coaching Be 5 goals better than any opposition and you've got nothing to worry about Enjoying the win immensely but if we're to contend again we still need to improve in all those aforementioned areas. Recruit with real intent for starters

  9. Bowey plays tall in a quite remarkable way and as you said, his kicking is a great asset already. Very quick vision to see a target ... and quick disposal. Not too shabby for 7 games played Could be quite a player of the future. We traded up in the draft to snare him and his acquisition looks to be another Taylor gem Kept Hunt out of the team which was no mean feat. A lot to like
  10. This story might have been posted elsewhere on this site but these 2 likely lads have made such a difference Melbourne dynamic duo Clayton Oliver and Christian Petracca's journey from junior footy teammates to AFL grand final
  11. Norm Smith was involved 8 times where we played 1 game in a month during the finals 7 flags and only 1 loss (1958) Rest, recuperation, astute planning and fresh legs How about that 2nd half!
  12. It has sunk in but I'm a bit lost for words rjay. But anyway ... Just posted on 'ology about the crowd support in the stadium. Demons everywhere and the WA folk have done exceptionally well They should be rightfully proud of themselves. What a great country we live in where others can take up the slack like the Western Australians have We will forever remember how they embraced our team and our victory And well done to the WA people here on this site. You guys did a mighty job. Kudos As for the team, others are saying it for me ... like, love & thanks emoji's comin' your way!
  13. Haven't seen a race but listened in ... seems Zaaki did it easily and Anamoe couldn't quite get there. Remarque dropped away Had a mixed day but got a few late collects to break even
  14. Ha ha! You never know in this game, I'm big on times and Superstorm's times are quite good. As are Probabeel's So too are Zaaki's times but Probabeel & Superstorm are group class horses Small field but fascinating race ... the exotics are only worth pursuing if you want to have a go at the finishing order
  15. I've had a small wager on Remarque at decent odds in the Golden Rose but Anamoe goes into a multi Not even going to bother with a multi at 1.24 for Zaaki so another small bet on Superstorm ... first time the Melbourne way of going for Zaaki and whilst it will probably win, Superstorm might surprise at good odds. Probabeel is into $4 whereas Superstorm is $12
  16. I'll watch the race again Gorg to see what happened to Portland but my focus was on Wild Ruler so much so that the only other horse I noticed was The Inferno I'll be following both horses but Wild Ruler will be going to stud soon enough The Inferno is a very good horse though and will race on as it's a gelding. I reckon it's an Everest horse
  17. Wild Ruler wins! Nice! Thought The Inferno had it but what a kick! All credit to Wild Ruler though ... it's a good horse and a fighter
  18. Homesman ran very well but gave the winner 6kgs ... and that was the difference in the straight
  19. Curran is quick isn't it? Bought online for chump change. Has now won $300k I was on Meteorite for a bit of value ... ran ok and had every chance
  20. Williams gave it every chance ... winner too good. Larkspur just needed that extra kick on straightening
  21. 'Forgot You' wins again ... wasn't on it but should have been. Got a great finish has the horse
  22. I've got Portland in a wide (ish) exacta with a few others. The right combo pays very well But Wild Ruler for the win and it should get a good run in the race ... as should Portland & Profiteer
  23. Lombardo did it easily ... looked all class. Good pick I had a saver bet on Front Page but no match for the winner. Decent time for the Valley too So now Homesman just needs to finish things off! I'm reminded that the horse won the Australian Cup back in March so fingers crossed
  24. The leader stacked them right up which didn't help The winner (Minsk Moment) was impressive wearing the right colours. Looks to have a bright future the way it won
  25. Moonee Valley track manager Martin Synan reckons the course might favour the on pace runners ... but because of the wind as they hit the straight, the backmarkers can feature if they can get cover Rail is out 4 metres
