    Ravens, Bills, Bucs
  2. A lot of the player contracts were drawn up pre cxxxx or may not have a cxxxx component attached So the non vaccinated may not be able to train & play, but could they still be paid? (at least in part) As we know, the contracts have previously been quite watertight ... for instance, when the games were cancelled or postponed because of cxxxx, the players were still being paid A negotiated 3% cut in salaries ended up being the result

Gorgoroth @Dappa Dan @DeeSpencer @JV7 @Dee Zephyr @Go the Biff @titan_uranus @Clintosaurus @DemonDave @layzie 1 point only on offer this week. Could be a vital point the way things are going! Surely the Jets & Washington won't win ... surely! Good luck! Leaderboard - Tipping Comp 6 - Go the Biff, Clintosaurus, JV7 5 - Dee Zephyr 4 - Gorgoroth 3 - DemonDave, titan_uranus, DeeSpencer, layzie, Macca
  4. Well we just won a flag in comprohensive fashion as nomads ... even when we were in Melbourne we swapped between Casey & Gosch's So a Casey facility which had a $5Million upgrade along with gym facilities and Gosch's with a makeover ($2Million?) might just have to do for now The admin building? It's not the end of the world if that takes a bit more time than is preferred Besides which, I'm backing Kate Roffey to get what we need rather than what we necessarily want (there's a song in there somewhere)
  5. Thanks for that If the pick is for a needed position then KPF could be it so the WA lad might be the target ... remembering that we'll need a good KPD in 2 years or so (if Weideman doesn't improve enough) And tall draftees generally need time in the system to develop. Or maybe we go for another wingman/midfielder for greater depth

Zero points allocated, 3 weeks in a row! Zilch. None. Point-less! What is going on?!? Clint was unlucky A reminder that there are 10 points up for grabs in the last 4 weeks so keep at it
  7. A fanatical dressed up Demon fan (with the Cup) running next to Peter Sagan on one of those brutal climbs! I'd like to see that!
  8. So who are the likely 6 candidates for our pick (17) And are we going for best available, best in position or are we confident of getting one actual player that we have earmarked? Or could we still move up in the draft? I've had a bit of a read of the thread but is there any clarity emerging yet? What's the go? Oh, and am I right in saying that we turned Dom Tyson into Ben Brown? Remembering that Preuss was swapped to us in the Tyson deal and then Preuss went to GWS for pick 31 and we then traded pick 33 in that same trade period for Ben Brown (along with a swap of picks in the 20's (26 & 28)
  9. And Matt Clarke was at the Demons from '97 to '08 according to a link I found Been at the Tigers for nearly 13 years in multiple roles (?)
  10. Who would have thought Did he leave us before the end of the 2008 season?
  11. Good points DS ... you'd know more about this than me. Sydney with their academy has an advantage ... they can identify at a younger age than the drafting age And the proof is in the pudding with the Doggies ... lots of good young players on their list (over time) Who is the head of recruiting at Richmond? He'd have to be up there as well
  12. Yes Taylor has the midas touch ... Stephen Wells did go off the boil eventually but that might have had a bit to do with the policy on the age demographics of their recruits And wasn't he shuffled elsewhere within the club into a similar area? For whatever reason the Cats didn't miss a beat for a good period (with draftees) and then decided to change tack and top up with oldies (whilst the game had become faster with younger legs needed to do the 2-way running)
  13. All backing up that Taylor has gone past all (including Wells & Clayton*) as the best talent identifier in the business He's on a hot streak and who is to say he can't keep going? Recruiting with a real purpose At some stage we could be in the unique position of being talent overloaded ... and that's the position a club needs to be in We're not there yet but could be in the foreseeable future *Scott Clayton for his past record going back a bit
  14. Right now probably so (with the small sample size) but he looks the goods already ... most impressive aspect is his exquisite kicking to position Remarkable for a 7 game player ... and he plays tall as well. Big future by the looks of it
  15. In the same article Bayley Fritsch was re-ranked as No.3 in his draft year ... originally 31 Spargo in the same draft was originally picked at 29 but given the attrition rate of those picked above him, he might sit just outside the top 10 (or better) in a re-ranked scenario
  16. Curb your Enthusiasm new series has started out ... as previously mentioned Only Murders in the Building 'Barry' is good, The Kominsky Method is decent As for Sci-fi ... got a bit to catch up on as there is a bit about 'Dark' is supposed to be good, Glitch season 3 to watch. Have they made any more of 'Black Mirror'?
  17. Yeah seen 'em all ... Sling Blade was a tremendous film (BBob) I can remember debating the worth of True Detective S2 with AF here. I really liked it and thought with time, it might be appreciated better. But there again I'm a Colin Farrell fan as well (how good was 'In Bruges'!) Still haven't seen True Detective series 3 ... any good? Better Call Saul is very good. Others such as Ozark & Homeland are good And we're going to see another series of Dexter ... that'll be interesting
  18. No but Bosch is on the list ... to be honest, I've been flat-out at work during lockdown working enormous hours for the last 2 years Quietened off already so time to catch up on movies & TV drama There's probably 10 good shows that I don't know of ... a bit out of touch! Bosch soon enough though ... at least the first 3 eps
  19. I liked it all but season 4 was terrific. The show was also about so much more than the courtroom drama's that eventuated But that's just my view ... each to their own

Hammers!?! Not used to these lofty heights ... still adjusting to the new stadium, the 2nd coming of David Moyes and a talented group of players We don't beat Liverpool very often although I noticed we did ok against the Reds in 2015/16 3rd place! (mozz factor deactivated) And the Socceroos have got 2 games coming up in the next week (live on Ch10) Thurs 11th 7.30pm vs Saudi Arabia Tues 16th 10.30pm @ China
  21. I'm in with a number of others here ... this bloke will be a star of the competition He's got all the attributes but those attributes are superior to most. Can play anywhere, has an enormous leap and is skilfull Hunts the ball at ground level too which is absolutely unique for someone so tall. From his first game he's had his eyes on the ball without a look around ... that's a real quality in an 18yo coming in against men He's only just turned 20 and once he learns how to play like an A-grader, look out!

Ha! You get those Bears over the line and you pick up the big 2 points Clint ... the rest of us all tipped the BIlls! And what the hell is Rodgers doing ... if he plays against the Chiefs we probably win Get the jab, Aaron!
  23. Or a combination of both ... and fatigue is an issue too (as highlighted by a few others on this thread) And you're right, it's across the AFL Mind you, we were much better this season as we've had games in previous years where it's really cost us ... such as R21 in 2018 against the Swans 16.5 after half time in a GF? You'd take that any day of the week
  24. The 4th and final season of Goliath was brilliant ... of course, I am a big fan of Billy Bob Thornton but the whole cast really nailed series 4 Set in dark, damp Chinatown (San Fransisco) series 4 is for 'Noir' fans. Be prepared to be surprised ... the best show I've seen this year! And the first season of 'Only Murders in the Building' was very funny and very entertaining Marty Short & Steve Martin were just mesmerisingly good ... and there's more to come. The sort of show you can watch on repeat
  25. Of course, it would be controversial ... but if it was passed through at a referendum then the majority vote would rule But it would probably be even more difficult to remove the union jack It's all a bit of a moot point as I can't see a move for real change in the foreseeable future anyway Ad for the national anthem ... We first replaced God save the Queen in 1974 (Whitlam) with Advance Australia Fair only for GSTQ to be reinstated in 1976 (Fraser) and then back to AAF in 1984 (Hawke) ... back then the ALP & the Coalition favoured one over the other (thus, the back & forth) Gough led the original charge from memory I remember voting for Waltzing Matilda in a referedum back in 1977 (?)
