The Browns/Ravens game was an absolute beauty. Highlights aplenty! The Browns lost no friends and they will be more than nuisance value if they figure in the playoffs Meanwhile the Rams & Packers are likely to meet in the playoffs unless 1 or both teams get knocked out early Not sure what to make of the bye ... the Packers need continuity but maybe they don't? We should win out but the Titans game is tricky. Bears in week 17 might not be relevant

The Monkees haven't been seen here on this thread but as popular as they were back in the day they were also underrated ... the following 2 songs were hugely popular here in Oz in the late 60's but Davey Jones doesn't feature on lead vocals in either song And I'm not sure that 'Mary Mary' was ever released as a single outside of Australia but the words to the song were rather risque by today's standards!

New addition for the post-season tipping comp (assuming we get enough starters) Working on the premise that we continue to post scorelines (as we've traditionally done) we could make the most of those scorelines Week 1 ... 1 point per win plus a bonus point if your margin of victory falls within the actual margin. i.e. 1-6, 7-12, or over 12 Week 2 ... 1 point per win plus a bonus point using the same margin criteria as week 1 Week 3 ... 3 points per win plus 3 bonus points for the correct margin criteria Super Bowl ... 5 points for the win plus 5 bonus points for the correct margin (1-6, 7-12 etc) We can just continue to post up the scorelines as we've done previously and I can work out the rest of it (with the possible aid of a proof-reader!) All feedback is most welcome but a tipping system where interest is maintained throughout is the ideal outcome n.b ... the margin of victory would need to fall into the 1-6, 7-12 or over 12 margin to qualify for the bonus point (or points)

And with the playoff format having changed this season we will see 6 playoff games in week 1 of the playoffs Only the 1 seed in each conference gets the bye ... currently the Steelers (11 & 1) over the Chiefs (11 & 1) in the AFC and the Saints (10 & 2) in the NFC. The Saints are one win ahead of the Packers but the Packers hold the tie-break advantage if the Saints slip up So in week 1 of the playoffs there may well be 3 games on the Sunday (AEDT) with another 3 games on the Monday (AEDT) ... it could be assumed that 7Mate will cover all the playoff games but is that confirmed?

My betting strategy nearly always includes the races from S.A and in particular, James Jordan's tips. And when he and Gator both tip well I do well The challenge is matching up 2 of the tips in a small multi as the tips can often be the short priced favourites. Worked out well today as Gator had a reasonable day as well (although I went looking for value (against a few) to my detriment!) Would have cleaned right up if Inspirational Girl had have got up. Truly Great a deserved winner though. Too good Good luck with the NFL ... I'll be doing a 4 or 5 pick H/F multi. All home teams as I don't trust my judgement on road teams! ?
