Might be a bit tougher to get amongst the medals tomorrow but we are in with a chance in 3 Rowing Finals & the 100m Freestyle for Women. Saya Sakakibara could surprise in the BMX racing whilst Lucien Delfour is in with a chance in the K1 Canoe/Slalom

Tough group we're in but hopefully we're able to eke out a win or 2 to advance Heard today that the Serbians are all fully professional ... doesn't surprise me as Water Polo is huge in the Eastern European Countries Where as our blokes are strictly part time and all have full time jobs!

Jess Fox magnificent! So many variables in this sport where not everything is in the athlete's control So the athletes have to fight against bad luck as well. The field contained any number of world champions & Olympic medalists too A worthy winner!

Yeah, Ariarna being saved for the 800m? She's got to be feeling the pinch but to win the triple would be some sort of achievement Wasn't all that fast on the opening leg by the audio call. She'd be in the red zone so I get that the coaches don't want to burn her But as you said, we still broke the world record and were simply beaten by 2 better teams on the day. No shame in that

Another way to look at it is that how hard is it to win both the K1 & the C1 in this sport? There's always a bit of luck involved with Canoe/Slalom unlike some events where a pure technique & high ability can win out To watch it is nerve-racking enough but imagine the pressure at the top of the run! All that white water going every which way Previously, Jess wouldn't have had a second chance but in this Olympics we have both the C1 & the K1 Anyway, Jess will be doubly determined on Thursday if she gets through to the final, that's for sure

So close hey ... such a fine line between winning and not winning. Nerve racking sport to watch so I'm glad I was only listening in on audio! But Jess can make amends on Thursday in the C1. Anyway, I guess we had our hopes up but that's the roller-coaster of the Olympics A Gold medal is damn hard to attain. They don't hand them out
