'Perry Mason 2020' (TV Drama Series) Set in the early 1930's ... crime-drama, gritty, realistic, top quality, high production values Borrows very little from the iconic TV series but there are a few links that fit nicely
-
Big turnover there ... Washington are still in this
-
Saints are nearly at full strength but upset wins do happen. In that dome, we could see a high scoring game As for this game, if the Bucs score again before half-time, it's all over
-
Up until that last easy TD for Tampa I thought Washington might have been a sneaky chance Top class win to the Rams ... I don't fancy the Bears tomorrow so we'll probably meet up next week. It could be SNF too (12.30pm Monday AEDT) Or the Saturday night game (US time) But that's just a guess and Chicago may well surprise anyway

Live Leaderboard - Tipping Comp 4 - Gorgoroth 2- Dee Zephyr 1 - Clintosaurus, JV7, Go the Biff, Macca n.b. We are all on Tampa to win except ... Gorg! .
-
Unless the Bears beat the Saints tomorrow the Rams will now go to Lambeau next week Otherwise they'll play at Tampa or Washington

Re the post season tipping comp n.b ... getting the margin right also means that you have to have the winner as well (in order to secure the bonus point or points)

@DeeSpencer @DemonDave @layzie @Dappa Dan @Dee Zephyr @Clintosaurus @titan_uranus @Gorgoroth @JV7 @Go the Biff @Dr. Gonzo If we get enough starters, a post season tipping comp can be held again. We've held the post-season comp every year but we'll possibly need 4 or 5 starters. Remembering that the games start early Sunday morning (AEDT) It will work like this ... Week 1 ... 1 point for each win plus a bonus point if your margin of victory falls within 1-6, 7-12 or 13+ Week 2 ... 2 points per win plus 2 bonus points for each the correct margin bracket Week 3 ... 3 points per win plus 3 bonus points for each correct margin bracket Week 4 (Super Bowl) ... 5 points for the win plus 5 bonus points for the correct margin bracket Traditionally we've posted up scorelines so the margin bracket will be covered in a default manner if scorelines are posted up Schedule and lines for next week (all times AEDT) ... as an aid, just Copy, Paste, Highlight & Scores (if playing in the post-season tipping comp) ---------------------------------------------------------------- Sunday 5.05am - Indianapolis (+6.5) @ Buffalo (-6.5) Sunday 8.40am - LA Rams (+3.5) @ Seattle (-3.5) Sunday 12 15pm - Tampa Bay (-8.5) @ Washington (+8.5) Monday 5.05am - Ravens (-3) @ Titans (+3) Monday 8.40am - Bears (+10.5) @ Saints (_10.5) Monday 12.15pm Browns (+6) @ Steelers (-6)

More details later but if we get enough starters, a post season tipping comp can be held again. We've held the post-season comp every year but we'll need 4 or 5 starters Open for discussion but it can work like this ... For a while there you looked the winner Gorg The things I needed to happen to get my multi's up just happened to involve the teams that a few here were relying on in the comp Seattle coming back and Titans in a close one delivered for quite a few So got 3 multi's up with close to a 4 figure outcome again (all up) so a happy camper here. The teams that needed to win did win Your Rams made it and now you go to Seattle. GB get the week off which I believe will help the team. All the match-ups look interesting in fact 6 playoff games next Sunday & Monday ... should be able to watch at least 5 of the 6 - Bliss! Which team (or teams) are gonna get hot?

And we have joint winners in the Tipping Comp! Congratulations go out to first time winner, titan_uranus, and previous winner, Clintosaurus - well played gentlemen! Gorgoroth flashed home to end up with the 2nd highest tally of points whilst Go the Biff finished a point behind, thus gaining a podium spot And a shout out to all participants - another smooth-running comp eventuated thanks to everyone's help. As stated previously, it's an easy comp to run thanks to the participants But it's a tough comp to win, that's for sure! (details on the post-season tipping comp to follow later - a second chance for tipping glory!) But again, congratulations to Clintosaurus & titan_uranus - both worthy winners of the 2020 Tipping Competition! Leaderboard - Final 16 - Clintosaurus, titan_uranus 14 - Gorgoroth 13 - Go the Biff 12 - Macca 9 - layzie 8 - Dee Zephyr, JV7 6 - DemonDave, DeeSpencer And to the victors, go the spoils

Racing related? The Dakar Rally starts today with a highlights program (30 mins) shown every day on SBS at 5.30pm This year we're in Saudi Arabia after being stationed in South America for the last 10 years It's a well put together highlights program

I don't believe we'll see any upsets though ... the teams that need to win generally do so at this time of the season Could be wrong of course but I reckon the Ravens, Packers, Saints, Seahawks & Titans will all win. Can't see the trap game (Saints?) And I can't see any of Tampa, Colts or the Pats losing either However, the Chargers are heavily favoured by the bookies @ KC. Chiefs resting the starters? Not at all sure on your Rams ... 'Vegas' likes Arizona in your game

Neufbosc wins the Perth Cup! 'Truly Great' 3 wide throughout carrying 60 kgs. Had cover for the most part but nonetheless, a big ask Beaten by a nose Midnight Blue ran ok for 3rd but not in the class of the first 2 But Truly Great has a big future as a stayer/middle distance horse. It will be brought over to the East you'd imagine as we have a dearth of decent middle distance horses from 1800m up to a mile and a half Neufbosc will win more races as well. Started 3.60 so the money came for it today. Had 6kgs on Truly Great though

Got Athiri & Li'l Hank up late with a couple at Ascot to come. Been a good day By the way, if I lose you won't be hearing from me! haha
-
That's the shot Gorg. Good stuff! I've picked up a few winners myself ...Bella Tiara, Dickin Medal & De Grawin up at Rosehill Got Boyles up early in the day as well so well in front You only need a few winners when the each-way chances get up It's a known fact that 70% of all favourites don't win but I will back a favourite if there is some value attached (7-2, 4-1 etc) I steer clear of the real shorties unless in a multi or in Stakes races
-
Quantum Mechanic held up at the top of the straight for 3/4 of a furlong. Being a backmarker that can happen but is definitely one to watch as it still nearly won and was flying home And I've gone for some value in the Perth Cup with another horse carrying the Bob Peters cerise colours Perth Cup R8 No.13 Midnight Blue (10.00/2.50) ... a lightweight chance and drawn nicely Truly Great too short for my liking although it is the horse to beat
-
Jamie Kah has ridden 3 winners at Flemington today and is on the 4-1 shot Quantum Mechanic in the last Race time 6.55pm

Fairly sure the Pats missed out on the playoffs in 2008 despite having an 11 & 5 record And Miami won that division in 2008 with an 11 & 5 record So it doesn't always go the Pats way!!
