Dees who may be gone in 2019
I also think that many people do not realise that Tyson has the talent and skill of our best Mids, what has hampered him is his confidence. Gaff, Oliver and Brayshaw are amazing because they are confident players. Petracca is another player who needs more confidence to go to the elite level. He is close though.

Dom Tyson
Dom Tyson is exactly the type of player we need in our team to win a Premiership. He compliments Viney, Oliver, Jones and Brayshaw because he uses the ball well on the outside but can play hard footy on the inside. I think he is the most underrated player at Melbourne FC and I am sure that Goodwin will want to retain him.

Congratulations Bernie Vince on 100 MFC Games
Bernie is a good old fashioned scrapper. He is not out of place playing with Andrew Macleod and Byron Pickett. He is an extremely talented player who has had a great career. He may still play a little longer.

Dees who may be gone in 2019
I don't understand you clueless clowns who say Tyson is depth. He plays when the entire squad is fully fit. He was second Bog a couple of weeks ago and is a very consistent player of high quality. His ball usage has become close to elite recently. Goodwin will keep him in the 22 by rejigging the squad at the end of the year. I am over the hate for Tyson. He is going nowhere. Get over yourselves!

Andrew Gaff
If we get Gaff it will actually make the Fremantle meeting, next year, interesting!

Red Card Rule
I love comments like we have played this game for 160 years and it has worked with no red cards, to paraphrase one poster. As someone who moved here 15 years ago from the UK all I see is mindless tinkering with the game every year to no good effect. It is the players that make the game interesting, not the rules or the sanctions. I am not sure that red cards are the answer but I think the tribunal system is totally inconsistent and ineffective. This may provide a better outcome and discourage thuggery on the field.
-
Andrew Gaff
There is no rationale to these tribunal decisions. They are totally inconsistent. There needs to be one set penalty and if it is policed it will stamp out poor behaviour on field.
-
Andrew Gaff
The umps can be notified by the video umpire and the card issued as soon as it is alerted to the field umpire's earpiece.
-
Andrew Gaff
No, 1 week. Next time they play it will be sorted. That is the rugby code and is the difference between soccer and rugby. AFL needs to move away from this soft Tribunal malarckey.
-
Andrew Gaff
See who cares. You waste all this energy talking about an on field incident that should be red carded and dealt with immediately. The game is more important than this garbage that people spew about Gaff and his king hit. The weak tribunal encourages this kind of behaviour. Just get rid of it.
-
Andrew Gaff
Hate the tribunal. Yellow and red cards like rugby. Straight match suspension for a red card. Players can police the dog acts between themselves. The tribunal system is [censored] weak and is the softest, silliest part about AFL. We need to focus on the games and the players, not the periphery nonsense like fixturing, rules and tribunal decisions. Could not care less what Gaff gets. He has to live with himself for being a coward and he should pay Brayshaw's dental bills and apologise to his family for his cowardice. Weeks is no punishment.

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 20
Interesting that one of the newspapers was saying Gold Coast was a waste of AFL money back in 2015. https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/thenewdaily.com.au/sport/afl/2015/06/08/gold-coast-suns-afls-biggest-waste-cash/amp/ Not that it should affect how we play but their Membership was lower this year than it is right now.

Harley Balic Retires
He kicked 3 against us last year, I think....
-
Harley Balic Retires
Hard work training at top intensity every week. I am very disappointed as he is a clear talent who could kick multiple goals at AFL level but it may save Dean Kent. Every cloud etc....

Should Jack Viney consider amputating his toe for the team?
Had a weird dream that had Jack Viney in it. We were both at a Carlton Members Meeting, I think out of nothing more than interest from what became apparent. We got talking as the meeting ended. I wished him well and he said that Max Gawn was incapable of winning the upcoming match without him and he could personally win it off his own boot. Strange, eh?

Dees give up Booze
Most high end athletes don't drink alcohol at all. I think that this comment by Lewis may be a veiled swipe at Bernie Vince who has a well known problem with being a party boy.

ANB has a brain. He learns from his mistakes. He will only get better. Glass is half full.

What they're saying over at West Lakes
How can the Crows call anyone chokers after the GF last year? On the topic of hate, I feel Richmond supporters are as close to having 666 emblazoned on their foreheads as anyone, and I might have to apologise to Lucifer for that analogy as he probably even hates Richmond.

Dom Tyson - 100 Games
Tyson never gives up. He is tenacious and I would always have him in our best 22. He compliments our present Mids if he is fully fit and switched on.

Alex Neal-Bullen
Are you all idiots. Go to the AFL Match Centre and he is ranked the No. 1 player for Melbourne tonight. You know F all about football, you ?.
-
Who do we realistically target for a trade?
Sen, hinted that we may be interested in Anthony Miles.

Post Match Discussion - Round 12
Dare I say it, we missed Tyson. He generally plays well against Collingwood. He uses the ball well and gets a lot of possessions. I also think Garlett might have helped us kick a winning score.
