If we don’t make the finals this year then we will end up losing top end talent. If we cannot retain players then the draft is irrelevant. Top teams make the finals pretty much every year.

Port Adelaide and Fremantle have the loudest cheer squads of the Inter State Teams that come to the MCG. I was in the Cheer Squad and that was my experience anyway. We should have been louder but I feel many of our fans only really get up for the big games against Victorian Teams.

I think that it is entirely possible that not only were some of our players underdone but as the old adage goes, ‘We don’t match up well’ on Port. Last year was a case in point. In a year that we made a preliminary final, we still lost to them but we smashed superior teams regularly.

Really think that we will pick up 2 Mids with our picks in the 20's. My guesses would be: Xavier O'Halloran, Ely Smith or Luke Valente. We might get another forward in the rookie draft, pre-season draft or a delisted player.

Garlett is worth 40+ goals a season. Give him a nice bit of fluffy encouragement and he might just perform.

I think the Bell has tolled on this deal. Can't see it happening but I could still see us acquiring Steven May.

Let's work on the basis that the Hogan trade does not happen. Could we offer next year's first round pick for Kade K and Stephen May. I think it would be enough.
