I like both he and Tyler Williams, both have the fast feet and lateral movement to glide through congestion and X factor for both is high. Kickett hits the ball quicker with some nice explosion whilst Williams works harder to get up the ground playing high and getting involved in transition chains. Wouldn’t go wrong with either of them with that pick although I do like Hibbins-Hargreaves if available at that pick, Oli Greaves impressed me in the game against WA this year but I see theres some concerns on him being a bit one paced

Jason Taylor on AFL Gettable (18.11.2025)
He debuted at Colts as a 15 year old playing key position and was amongst the best on ground with coaches not believing he was only 15. He played key position the following 2 years and in 23 started the season very well earning a league debut in Rd 3, he played key position floating between CHB and CHF in the senior side which went deep into finals. 2024 was ruined by injury yet he was picked up and given an AFL opportunity off the back of 23 He played both ends of the ground so don’t worry about stats

Low production guy in juniors, what are you talking about, he was never low production in juniors at footy or cricket. He was a standout at junior level in footy

I went through some opposition notes from season 2024, of note in preparation for West Perth was Kayle Gerreyn taken by Essendon in last year’s draft was main ruck who rested forward and Farrow played off half back pushing up as release outlet to stoppages but was pinch hitting in the ruck when Gerreyn was being rested. Farrow used athleticism and leap to negate taller opponent and hit ground as 4th mid in the contest. Now there’s something I hadn’t remembered with him, not that he’ll ever play that role at AFL level

2025 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Lawson Humphries, from Swan Districts to Geelong the only one who comes to mind

AFL Draft 2025: Phantom Drafts
No they won’t, they will be taking Duursma and CDT, may bid on Uwland but won’t be bidding on Dean.

Eagles want CDT

AFL Draft 2025: Pick 30 (formerly 37)
I hate Essendon as much as most Dee’s supporters but what you’ve said about Dodoro, is simply not true, off the top of my head they drafted or traded in Courtney Dempsey, Paddy Ryder, Leroy Jetta, Nathan Lovett-Murray, Alwyn Davey and one of his kids, Andrew Lovett, Anthony McDonald-Tipanwutti, Jade Gresham, Irving Mosquito and Tex Wanganeen

They are keen on Farrow

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
Can we stop with the obsession on Pickett, he’d barely in the top handful of small forwards . Being related doesn’t warrant being selected

2026 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Boys from WA, much more depth next year Heath Mellody - classy ball user, freakish awareness and poise, clean hands, scoreboard impact and can play inside or outside. His ceiling is huge Garrison Kenh- athletic half back with massive upside and talent. Finds plenty of footy with his run and ability to zone off. Lucas Robinson - big bodied inside midfielder, gets first hands on footy and uses it well by hand, kicking needs work but his accumulation of stats will see him spoken about frequently Harper Banfield - father son , just a born competitor, I’ve never seen a desire to win contests and just refuse to give in like I’ve seen in this kid. Reminds me of a young Jack Viney Harvey Spawton-Guy - fwd/ruck moves well for a tall, smart leading patterns and clean hands with one grab Byron Foster - ruck with nice soft hands at the tap and moves well around the ground, athletic and still growing into his body Benji Van Rooyen- ruck developing really well, improved stoppage work this year and having impact as intercept behind the footy. Mobility still room for improvement but after missing so much footy from 14-16 he’s on the right trajectory

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
Who did old Melbourne not bid on, when we had the opportunity? The last 10-12 years we’ve barely had opportunity when Father sons or Academy players were available. The two opportunities we had with Callum Mills and Levi Ashcroft we did make bids and thank god on both occasions they were matched. With those picks we got Clarry and Harvey Langford

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
We would take Cumming in this case.

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
Yes it’s like when people wanted us to take Sam Van Rooyen

2025 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I know it’s not a deep draft, but there are some very ordinary players on that list

Jacob Farrow
As @adonski said and his points there is a lot to work with I have questions on both the West Perth boys ability to win the contested footy around the stoppages, but Farrow reads it well and can transition the ball with a penetrating kick from half back. He’s a good fit for a team looking towards playing an open game with speed on the ball and the ability to change lanes to force opponents to defend the entire oval

Oskar Taylor
I understand there’s a romanticism with Pickett, but I don’t see it, whilst it’s a high bar he’s nowhere near Kossie in terms of speed, lateral movement or clean hands. IMO he’s been overlooked previously for a reason. Dovaston, Tyler Williams and Leon Kickett all ahead of him as small forwards

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
Do you actually understand the difference between Cal Twomeys power rankings and his phantom draft He will release his phantom draft next week probably on the eve of the draft, when he has greater intel, which is why it’s accurate as it’s well known the clubs in the top dozen have worked out fairly close to who is going to select who The fact Nairn has now been invited to attend night 1 I would suggest indicates something

2026 AFL Fixture
I actually wouldn’t have minded both Collingwood and GWS being our double up fixtures from the to 6 next season. I’m always one not to judge a fixture based on how a team performs the previous season, but I just believe those two will take a dip next season. I think the Suns will continue to rise and Freo are heading in the right direction (although there’s a bit of a caveat on Longmuir holding them back IMO).

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
This, the draft this year doesn’t bat deep however IMO there’s still going to be over a dozen picked who play over 150 games.

AFL Draft 2025: Pick 30 (formerly 37)
NGA like Wes Walley and Cohen Livingston, the WAFL clubs and zones are allocated to either Freo or West Coast, all 3 are indigenous boys. Walley is Subiaco and both Livingston and Evan’s are Perth, all of which fall under West Coast
