Yep that's what I think, a way from A grade but a great servant to the club. He needs to read the play better and stop over doing it and getting caught. A very hard worker none the less.

It disadvantages us by stopping the play. If Nathan could move the the ball on rather than trying to stop the play with a free we would be much better off .

I have a concern, not that I don't admire N jones but, I don't like the way he puts his head under into the opposition to get a free kick. It is effective, if you want a free kick, but even if you don't think it's dangerous and unfair I think it is disadvantageous to us. It stops the game, stops our momentum and allows the opposition time to reset. I know he got a lot of possessions but I hope that's not why he is getting lots of votes. Just sayin

It possibly has always been positive and it might seem like that again, but, I'm sure it's not! Does that make you feel better?? Probably not but there is a way of gageing the way the boys feel and this is definitely different. This year will be much different, not just a little!

I would have thought Jazza's comment was a cheap shot from a comment made by the OP with no evidence, just a supposed comment that Jack made. He or she was quick to put the boots in on a comment made by someone that he has no idea if it actually happened and further can't even be qualified as to be what Jack actually said.

I don't think SD meant it that way, I think we all know the last five years have been a disaster , especially the last two. Jack's conversation is not quoted verbatim and he definitely didn't get on with Neeld, but he liked Bails. However Roos is another kettle of fish and might just stand out beyond anything we might imagine. Watching them play on Friday was actually shocking because it was so good, I think it will be a very good year and I'm glad we have Wattsy and Roos.

I find that interesting because we have had no bigger punching bag than Wattsy who also had to consider his future and felt the future had some direction with Roos. Each player might be considered differently in supporters eyes but the football club is the same ie was a toxic environment so neither should be blamed for weighing up the alternatives. I wish James well and hope the media don't harass him for months. He has every right to make his decision when he chooses given he still has 9 months left on his contract.

How do you not get that he doesn't have a choice about publicity. He gets paid a certain amount in ASA and he has to do what the club asks him to. I doubt very much that likes seeing his head everywhere.

Just wait and see, what is the rush to judge, we have a whole year to see if he can do it, why stress about it now. He will definitely be good in the midfield, if he's like Pendles, Hird or Goodes is yet to be seen. Reality is we doen't know. So why keep worrying and watch 2014 unfold. The fact you all keep talking about him is not his fault, he certainly doesn't ask for it.

You speak as tho you have knowledge of the players and can predict what will happen in the future confidently, and with bias. I see the glass a lot more half full and recognise that Watts has been through a lot more than you give credit, including 14 kms plus a game. Time will tell what happens but he chose to stay when a number of clubs were after him so let's see what happens in 2014 and I think you will eat your words.

The time for the time trial is only relevant to each individual player, not who wins. It's all comparative to how they went last time and if they have improved. The club wants to see increased fitness across the board. Obviously some players are better at running than others but if a players time improves they are on the right track and have been keeping their fitness up over the break. Not slacking off.
