Denigrate? Let me add some context. There's a possibility that the club and Garland have reached a mutual agreement. Garland probably knows he's going to struggle to break into the firsts and doesn't want to play at a different club and begin the transition into the next phase of his career - which looks as though it might be coaching. It's just a gut feel and I might be completely off the mark but my comment was in no way intended to "denigrate" the bloke.

I think Omac, Melky, Harmes and JKH will be the final bench. With our lack of talls in the forward line, we'll need a good mix of zip and hardness down there to score goals so Harmes and Hannan will rotate and JKH will work the Pies defenders over with Jeffy and ANB. If Watts doesn't pull up then Spencer will surely be a late inclusion even if Goodwin says he'll play in the Magoos. That will leave Petracca and Pedders as our only two power forwards. Looking like there's a bit to play out in selection over the next coupla days.
