Apart from not playing him down back, Goody needs to get him into the gym and build up some core & leg strength between now and 2020. Too easily pushed off the ball and off balance right now. Player / Team Stats Form Guide Rnds 7 to 9, 2019 vs Season 2018 In a team sense we have edged closer to our 2018 form in the last three weeks (-11.40%) vs Rnds 4 to 6 where we were down by 16.79%. Still a fair way off 2018 though.

It's not in the AFL's interest to ensure the game is umpired fairly to offer an even competition RTG. It is now a very big business and the AFL are out to ensure their brand is being grown and protected in the preferred manner / direction required to maximise profits. The Eagles are no doubt high on their brand priority list. We are probably sitting somewhere in their bottom four.

There was a moment late in the 3rd DV where we went to a very shallow zone on their kick in. They were able to pick their way through it with ease and push into their 50 for an easy goal. Where was our usual higher press with protection (sweeper) out back??? Was this an instruction from the FD or did we fall into some sort of slack period (mentally/physically?) letting the Eagles off the hook defensively?

IMO the energy used to barn storm our 50 in the first three quarters was pretty much all we had left in the tank ABG. Unfortunately we didn't put the score on the board by that point and as Goody said we left the door open and they had a little more left in the tank. I also noticed at one point (mid way through the 2nd quarter or so) we had already used 37 interchange vs their 30. This may have caught up with us later in the match and the Eagles might have had a few spare to press a late advantage here.

That is correct 56. They were also running straight at Maxy without an eye on the ball on a few occasions ...again...completely ignored by the corrupt snot goblins! They have about a 4 goal advantage playing at home with the armchair provided. Good luck beating that.

Port cleaner on the outside and a little quicker. Kick the ball low and in front of leading forwards who work hard to find front position or get loose. Casey fumbling alot today and have lacked run, link up play and clean ball use on the outside or finish coming inside. Not many targets to try and hit up though. Port have gotten on top around the contest in the 2nd half also lead by their ruckman and Lang (??) for the most part. Wouldn't risk Lever for these remaining minutes.

Lefau nearly marked that one running away from the kick in and not even looking at the ball drop with hands in the air looking to spoil ! That would have been an amazing mark

I cant disagree more Buck. This is what separates an ok, mediocre or good club from a great club and sets the tone for culture going forward. There are certain things you just cannot accept in footy and life lying down. Someone rubbing your nose in it when you are down is one. It needed a super aggressive response risking potentially weeks out if the game to make a statement that you aren't accepting BS from any [censored] who decides to pull this [censored]. Whether that was a rugby tackle from 10 meters away, grabbing him by the collar and sling tackling him to the ground or putting on a headlock, the statement needed to be made by someone. WAP from those around!

Caught ball watching in no man's land again. If he can't play off a wing or HF he needs time at Casey until he has the tank/willingness/ability to close down his opponent when we dont have it. Its basic defence/team defence and is giving the opp too many easy looks at goal, including this horror bit of play last night.

Unlikely IMO ABG. More likely worrying about kicking it at the same time as attempting the mark (Focus!)

Still a basketballer trying his best to play footy IMO. Shows promise and glimpses but if you can't kick the simple goals or play the percentages often enough then you are effectively wasted as a forward and shouldn't play there. Play the season out as an inside / outside mid replacing Jones who takes over Tracc's present role up forward. If Tracc cant get it going and/or start hitting the scoreboard more often (assuming Goody refuses to recognise Tracc forward is a fail!) then subject to a decent trade deal, i would have to agree. Time to get some decent value while it's still potentially there.

Nothing is a disgrace in the umpires eyes out west LC if it results in a WC win. The record free kick differential out west has been going on for a decade now and shows no sign of easing up. It is clearly corrupted and the AFL apparently happy for it to continue. No wonder they are regular finals contenders. Their home games are almost always a lock win unless the opposition has a fabulous day out. On the flip side it is no coincidence they have such a poor record away. No extra men on the field!!
