  1. Congratulations on a remarkable Career Jordan! I was very pleased to have you aboard when you joined, it was a no-brainer for us really. And now, I'm hoping that you are offered a coaching roll, and that you would be keen to continue with us. Otherwise, best of luck in Football playing retirement.
  2. Watching the Ric WC game, I'm disappointed that it looks like N Riewoldt has chosen a media career. His analysis of the game is insiteful and superior to any former player commentator I've listened to. I'd be ecstatic to have him on our coaching panel. His understanding of the difference in game plans and his ability to communicate it is extremely impressive.
  3. No point getting upset we are just hopeless unfortunately
  4. That's it for me, will watch us but will not support this absolute fiasco of a sport, turned off the channel and the AFL.
  5. Tsitsipas, around 20 year old Greek tennis player who beat Federer this week and lost to Nadal in the Semi.
  6. C'mon A in E, the Eagles won the flag in 2006 finished third in 2007 and then raced to second bottom to secure 1 Nic Nat in 2008. They tanked that year mate.
  7. That's a relief, I wasn't feeling comfortable about him leaving but was understanding of his reason.
  8. My view.......the Club rate him highly JM has said so, picks 5&6, and I agree. I don't know what this damage to his brand is but he is a young man, he will mature and, fulfill his massive potential if he stays. Dustin Martin I'm sure everyone would agree did his best to trash himself, pretty sure he was open to being traded a couple of times, might have toured some facilities, was clearly gone, stays and next minute he's the best player in the comp. So sorry to those trying to beat his price down, I ain't buying it. We are showing him we value him as highly as anyone who has played the game. I suspect JM's "blunder" allows Freo to throw mediocre pics at us and show Jesse with the picks they offer that they don't rate him anywhere nearly as highly as we do. Jesse stays and gets another year older and maturer. To me he has continued to improve and would've kicked 60 goals this year without injury+finals. He is consistently in peak condition ready for pre season, that says a lot!! He is trending upward and will continue to improve as our young team does, we have multiple potential superstars and he is one. So when these undervaluing posts hit this thread just remember that chopsticks bloke, we haven't seen anywhere near the finished JH product yet, and we should be backing him in to show us how good he can be and then he can head back to Perth, successful, rich and still only early 30s.
  9. That's the best highlight reel I've ever seen.
  10. It's possible he doesn't as yet know what Freo are offering. They'll be wanting to sell him the idea, get him to Perth, viewing the new facilities etc, coffees in Freo on a spring sunny day, sell sell sell and then offering an amount too good to refuse rather than just an offer via his agent. The thing is, I believe he is open to a trade, but I suspect for him to leave, the offer will have to be a very good one. I don't believe he wants to go home that badly he'll accept similar money to what he's on now and if Freo offer him 1mil or more per year then his value to Freo is set and they will need to trade accordingly.
  11. You're a credit to yourself and your family CP. Keep that effort going in your future endeavours, and you won't likely go too far wrong. Congratulations.
  12. The possibilities of Gaff, Preuss, May, Shiels, 1st rd picks and Jessy staying is so complex and interesting that this conversation is both stimulating and redundant.
  13. Hopefully we'll manage it as well as the Cats and Hawks have.
  14. Like Lever last year I'd been quietly confident Gaff was most likely coming to us but my feelings changed with the king hit, it was out of character but also shocking vision and I thought wow what effect is that going to have on his psyche and confidence? Although I'd still love to have his football ability, you just can't take the fact back he did serious structural damage to a young player who happens to be the brother of one of our brightest stars. It was a clear yes for me before the incident and a cloudy yes after. With the way our Club is being built I don't think we'd be willing to pay Andrews pre incident price. Did anyone else notice how despondent he looked sitting in the coaches box v Coll then Simpson appeared and gave him a punch in the shoulder to gee him up a bit, he smiled in response but to me looked like he absolutely did not want to be there.
  15. And I vividly remember him dominating the Eagles in that memorable win last year! With 2 finals games under his belt now what can we expect next week ?
  16. Jeez that was awesome, 2nd week of delirium spent with mine and another Demon loving family in their WA Games room and now thanks to that impressive performance an opportunity to transfer our noise and hopefully be well heard between the boooooooooos here at Optus. We are pumped!
  17. Wasn't sure how this game would go so extraordinarily well played Dees, ecstactically happy with this!
  18. Fugazi... this is a cut throat comp let's treat commentary like this as such!
  19. Wow, not unexpected but still heartbreaking news. Rest in peace Jarrod Lyle, and heartfelt sympathy to all those closest to him.
  20. As with any squad member I've been looking forward to see him debut, disappointed that isn't going to happen but happy for him going forward. I have moved on from unhappy or just not right employment a few times in my life and the feeling has been euphoric and long lasting. Hopefully this is where Harley is at. Good luck.
  21. So Vanders comes in before Weid 10 v 9, the rest of the team unchanged as no-one has less than 5 except Gawn but good for him, alphabetically he holds his spot.
  22. Adelaide at their best, at home, and with our outs would be enough for them to get over the line but are they at their best or close to that form? They struggle with pressure and I'm convinced especially after last week we'll bring it. Our form against Geelong impressed me so much and with no changes to the lineup we'll build on last week. With that the Crows will need to play really well to beat our pressure, I don't think they can, I see us being too determined and ultimately too good.
  23. Congratulations Lewy unbelievable achievement and terrific that it's come whilst playing in red and blue, which I have to say looks really blood y good on you! Along with Crossy and Vince a no-brainer addition for us and at a critical time in our development. It must have taken an incredible amount of dedication, work ethic and guts to have carved out such an amazing career and I suspect it isn't over yet. Good luck today JL#6....C'mon Melbourne.
  24. I didn't see any drop off in intensity or effort throughout the entire match.
