  1. Yeah good post. I guess this is more about showing our support for Aussie as fans, no matter which path he chooses, than speculating about his future. Any news is always welcome too. Looking forward to hopefully seeing you back on the field soon Aus!
  2. Pretty sure the exact purpose of this site is to speculate on issues like this. Nothing is being said against the guy or insensitive to his situation, so relax mate.
  3. I really hope so! But his duty to family and community could drag him back up there.
  4. I love Aussie as a player, and he is among my favourite to watch when in form. Sadly this has not been the case of the last 18 months or so, due to injury and personal tragedy etc. I do not think he will be with the Demons for much longer, although I would be happy to be proven wrong. I think the pull of returning home to the Tiwi's and being with his family who are no doubt still mourning their losses will be too strong for Austin to stay at the Demons in the long term. What are people's thoughts on this young guys future??
  5. Think Rivers should take Vickery, Trengove head to head with Martin and Frawley for Riewoldt. Riewoldt would eat Warnock alive - he could be an option for Vickery but if Garland is fit there is no way he should be in the side. As well as that, if we end up playing all 3 of Gawn, Martin and Jamar (and Warnock) we will be way too tall and potentially without enough foot speed to combat Richmonds pace.
  6. Let's hope Chip towels him up like last year.
  7. Found this on BigFooty.. honestly I laughed.
  8. Pffft if'Lukey' is McGuane, he is a very poor excuse for a key defender - their backline is absolute rubbish. I like this rivalry that is forming though, especially because we run all over them most of the time .
  9. Can see him being given Legend status down the track some time...
  10. I'm going to say the big Max Factor. I am amazed at what he can do as a 19 year old 208cm ruckman returning from a serious knee injury - cannot wait to see how good he is as a mid 20 year old, which is when most ruckman really start to hit their straps.
  11. Fair point. I feel that he may be 'stuck inbetween positions' as a player. At 197cm and 93kg or so, he is good enough to play on the wing and key position at Casey but at AFL level he may not be strong enough for KP and not agile/speedy enough etc for the wing or wherever else he may play. Just my opinion..
  12. I have always liked Wall, and have often asked myself the same question. I think he would be worthy of a spot at Melbourne on the rookie list.
  13. Can't see NicNat doing that anytime soon. The most satisfying thing for me is the fact that Watts has obviously eclipsed Natanui in development right now, and is clearly going to be a great player. Stick that up ya arses media critics!!!
  14. FFS read it properly. I never said Green had the right to 'go for whatever mark he wants', I was saying that the situation called for Green to take the mark, not Scully. I said that 'nonsense' to see whether or not you had been coached/taught this sort of stuff (if you had played) because if you had, I thought you would be able to understand where I am coming from. And I don't think you do.
  15. Thank God for Col then, could have ended badly - that's bad leadership from Green then, not using his voice.
  16. Yes you protect him if you do not have a clear space to mark as Green did. As I said earlier Green should have called Tom off the ball and there would have been no issue, as Brad had enough space off his own opponent. That is my argument so focus on that and not another part of the sentence, just because your argument is not holding up.
  17. The mark was Green's. If you have played at all yourself you should know he the right of way to mark the ball there, and should have called Scully off as early as possible. In that case Scully would have no need for protection and Green would have taken the mark risk free. Not sure if Green did try and call him off, so he could have been in the wrong. But it was always his mark.
  18. Jamar in the forward line would be a great asset in helping expose the lack of height in the Tiges defense.
  19. Tonatopia should be banned from starting threads.
  20. Probably because he was kicking 80 odd the years before. And that was in half a season so i think so it was pretty good.
