Delistings/trades at end of the season
I don't think Davey was soft at all. He had brain fades at times, but didn't stand out as soft to me. Was a quality player. Edit: Was a quality player, most of the time.

Oh okay. Well I'm sure there have been plenty doing that recently.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
That should have been this year OD. I'm not sure how long I'll continue. I know we've improved a bit but it's just not enough for me, I just don't have the patience to wait another 4 years until we make the finals. Up to each supporter whether or not they continue and if they decide not to, I wouldn't judge them for it. It's completely justified.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
This was definitely the penultimate moment that really threw us in the crap after a struggle that was bad enough. We had to manage the list very well after Daniher's period - if we didn't recruit well to replace an ageing list with very poor young talent, we were always going to spend a long time in the cellar. And we recruited worse than anyone could have imagined. BP was a result of all those very poor appointments. People who had little real skill and knowledge in successfully running a football club. We as the members are the ones who have to pay for it the most.

Foregone conclusion, Dion is ours. Edit: I hope.

Have to agree with this sentiment. He really ravaged us at times when we played them. I used to be of the same opinion, that he was all flash and no substance in the way he plays. But now I'm convinced he has become a good ruckman. Ironically, the furore has died down now that he has become more consistent.

I hope he does BBO! But for the moment, it's a great run of form. Let's hope he can turn it into something more.

If the comp only included the last months matches, then sure. He's improved drastically but there are at least five I can think of that are still ahead of Max at the moment.

One good game from Howe isn't enough. I still hope they move him on. Dawes has been serviceable for a couple of weeks now. Hoping he finds his niche and can continue to work around half forward... he'll never be a deep marking forward with those hands.

Takes it up another level, hearing it from supporters of other clubs. This piques my interest.

I was about to ask h_h the same thing!

I hope they get all the key forwards, all except Jesse.

I agree, but Dawes and Howe probably won't generate much 'trade income' at all.

I wouldn't trade out pick 4 and Howe for Aish and their second rounder. Sounds good for Prestia though.

Agree. Bring back Juice Newton to replace Dawes, couldn't do any worse at this stage.

So by that reasoning, lets throw out N. Jones, Viney, McDonald and every other player that was on the list when Neeld was still coach.

I'd like to see Garland stay and despite the torturous years he has endured, he still shows the willingness to compete and hunger to win. Howe and Jamar will go, hopefully with some decent compensation for the former.

Don't think Zaharakis will be going anywhere IMO. He supported Essendon as a kid and is essentially their big hope in the midfield. They'll have cash to pay him. Has he shown any signs of discontent or said anything?

You definitely would not have to be insane. He's a very good footballer and ferocious tackler. I would give up that pick in a heartbeat, however he wouldn't be my first choice to trade out for.- Delistings/trades at end of the season
I continually say it but I already think WBD have absolutely shafted themselves with the Boyd deal.- Delistings/trades at end of the season
