  1. Even a Demon Frog? I have a feeling the snake would finish 9th anyway ...
  2. Looks like it will be our Japanese visiting student, my son and me. Not sure that we will get there on time due to the early start, but will look for you when we get there, or at quarter time. Where will you be sitting, do you think?
  3. What if there are red bananas? Would that be confusing?
  4. BBO would probably have the snakes line up and ask "How many bananas today, sir?" :-)
  5. Time to grow our own, Earl? With the farmers on this thread, surely we can produce enough for a stall outside Dee's games?
  6. "Viney's consistent forays into the packs and ability to come out with the ball earned him the best-on-ground blazer in my book. The second place blazer went to Nathan Jones, with particular notice of his raking kicks into the forward line to the rampant Hogan. Had he kicked straighter, Hogan would have been awarded the coveted third blazer, but that instead went to Rohan Bail for several great chases when the game was on the line. The encouragement award blazer goes to Jamar, for at least making the distance from the goal square". How does that sound?
  7. Now that could be a challenge (or a few minutes on Google translate ... ). 悪魔を行く
  8. You may live to regret that ...
  9. Sounds good. I usually manage to sit somewhere near where the coaches run out. We may not get there for the start of the game, but I'll know more about our movements closer to the day.
  10. I will probably be there, with a visiting Japanese student and probably one of my sons as well.
  11. Glad to hear you are still off the smokes. Keep on not believing! I would ask about your experience with tea cup readers, but on reflection I am not sure I want to know .. As for the footy, MFCSS is in full swing after the NAB game on some other threads.
  12. The historical basis for several video games ... :-)
  13. Good on you, OD. I really think the NBL threw away a lot of support by not continuing with the Tigers. Unlike many NBL clubs, they have a real connection to the basketball community and a lot of junior teams, and hence a large supporter base, many of whom will feel like you and not want a bar of an artificial team like Melbourne United.
  14. I used to follow the Tigers, back in the days of Gaze and Copeland, and the classic battles with the Magic. Some fond memories of the '93 and '97 finals. Once Gazer retired I gradually lost interest, which was probably around the time the NBL jumped the shark ...
  15. [censored] happens ... I am sure we can fix that.
  16. Well done, DF. Stick it up 'em!
  17. I thought you would have dived off the wagon in to a waiting vat of red As for jazza, I reckon he is still pegging away without the durries.
  18. A colleague of mine at work emigrated here from Russia in the mid 90's. I remember he was laughed at in a meeting in the dying days of the Howard government for saying that we have good governments in Australia. The laughing stopped when he started talking about Russian politics ...
  19. Ok, but I make an exception for their colours and some of their 'head case' supporters ...
  20. Ouch! That is pain indeed. The revenge for 1988 will come some day ...
  21. I know what you mean. My in-laws go for the Hawks, and lets just say that the ledger is very one-sided ...
  22. So which was the darkest day last year? Getting flogged by West Coast? Or Geelong? Or GWS? The game against the Hawks last year wasn't our best, but probably wasn't our worst, either ...
  23. keep changing them, then ...
  24. You forgot the shepherd from Viney ...
