  1. This has been our problem all season along with skill errors but it’s not getting better either which is a concern.

This is from the afl site http://m.afl.com.au/news/2019-07-11/dees-thinking-big-in-quest-to-muzzle-dogs Lever and Jetta will also return, having both dealt with knee injuries this season. Both made their comebacks via the VFL last week. Lever is set to play just his second AFL match this year, while Jetta will return after three months on the sidelines. Despite their lengthy spells out of the team, Goodwin said he has no hesitation in picking both for Sunday's important clash at Marvel Stadium.
  3. I didn’t think we over celebrated at all tbh. At the end of the game the players had smiles on their faces but so did I. Ffs u can’t even smile at the end of a game if u win. The media over analyse everything but that’s what happens when u, the media think u are bigger than the game and need to try and remain relevant.
  4. Was a very hard game to watch but apart from Hunts goal in the last thought Tracs evasive skills were terrific especially when he avoided 4 blues in either the 3rd or 4th quarter. He is finally looking like being in some sort of form. Now he just needs to be consistent.
  5. Que the Benny Hill music.
  6. Preuss did well. Should have been in the team weeks ago.
  7. So he is fit to play by MFC standards!
  8. NOTHING is obvious when u support the MFC palace, that’s the only thing that is obvious.
  9. Yep play the Benny hill music please. We are a joke.
  10. Brendan, Don’t hold your breath mate.

We are going to have to agree to disagree bing. Hitting a target by foot or hand and marking the footy is basic footy skills. Most of the group have been together for a number of years so this area of our game should be better than it is. We are by far the worst skilled side in the afl which is appalling imo. We are a professional footy team but don’t play like one.

Bad preseason does not equal bad skills or playing stupid dumb football.
  13. I think they would. And it would be easy against us just pressure us and u will get the ball back.
  14. Well considering we can’t hit a handball target when looking at our own players maybe the coach said try the “no look” handball and see what happens!! Its obviously working well and no need for any change.
  15. Good to see we are not the only ones who think we are below afl standard in skills. From an SEN article: McGuane – a two-time Collingwood best and fairest, premiership player and All-Australian – says the Demons' skill execution and decision making is "horrendous" and "not AFL standard". Couldnt agree more. Would love to know what the hell we are doing about it cause it’s been happening since rd 1 FFS. I know some on here are going on about our injuries and pre season etc but that DOES NOT affect the skills and of the players on the field Ironically if we can limit the skill errors we could actually be a good team.
  16. What’s the bet not only do we lose but Goodwin is out coached by the blues coach. Wouldn’t surprise me at all. The players will probably be thinking we just need to turn up and we will win, it’s Carlton after all. Ha ha ha.
  17. Injuries are path of the course and yes we have had our fair share but they are no excuse for players continually missing a handball target, kicking to the opposition, dropping a chest mark under no pressure, hand balling to a player who has 2 or 3 opposition players on his tail and playing on at all cost with nothing to go to. Thats just dumb football and we are head of the class in that department.
  18. I know with our track record let’s play Max who imo isn’t 100% and let him get injured properly then we can get Preuss into the seniors. It would be the melb way.
  19. Imo preseason surgeries are no excuse for pathetic skills. Agree with what you say too Lucifer.
  20. Yep and until it’s fixed we ain’t going anywhere as a team.
  21. Agree with TMac that simple dropped mark was unforgivable. In regards to Trac the pass was directed straight at his feet so can forgive him for fumbling it. The pass should have been straight at his chest yet due to lack of skills AGAIN it was a bad pass. The skill level of this team is appalling for professional footballers. It’s the worst in the afl. Auskick teams have better skills than us atm. If we can fix the skills and that’s a big if we would be a good team but we have been waiting a while for this to happen so don’t hold your breath.
  22. Start drinking geez you are resilient mate I started drinking 10 yrs ago and is steadily increasing!
  23. Yep there were so many the main one that stood out was the Hannan one. Doesnt matter what the game plan is or what the coach does on game day if we can’t hit a [censored] target on the field. Skills is under 8’s stuff.
  24. Hannans turnover in the centre in the 3rd qrt I think was a massive momentum killer. Dont think we really recovered from that point onwards. Again pathetic skills.
  25. It’s been the same problem all season. Cant kick or handball and hit a target or we handball to a teammate who has 3 players on his hammer. It doesn’t matter who we have playing for us if we can’t improve our skills.
