Pity we didn’t have 16 min quarters last season that may have been beneficial considering our fitness levels.

Why don’t the clubs just divide each of the players salary by the number of normal games 22 then deduct the value of 5 games being a 17 game season from their wage. IMO that seems fair. Personally I would take a pay cut rather than lose my job if I had to.

Could work in our favour as there won’t be any screaming feral wc supports there. Umps will hopefully be better too.

Taking HB was always a risk but one worth taking imo. He cost us nothing to get him and he is being paid as a rookie. If he plays for us it’s a bonus and if he doesn’t at least OUR club has supported him and given him the opportunity. We all just need to stay positive and hope for the best.

My only glimmer of hope that we could pull a win out of our backsides is that from memory the weagles don’t always start the season well. So heres hoping.

Geez the skill level of rich v gws is very good and a fair bit ahead of the melb v hawks game. Interesting times ahead.

Let’s see if the gp is recognisable under match pressure for 4 points before we get too excited. Don’t get me wrong I’m glad we won preseason games however we will really know how well or bad this season will be once we are under the pressure of a game played for 4 points.

Any other team it wouldn’t be an issue. I hate the media.

What’s going on with Kossie. It was mentioned earlier in the game day thread that he was off due to personal reasons. Do we know what’s going on there??

Bedford did some nice things and kicked a bloody nice goal. Saw AVB walking off with both boots on so hopefully that’s a good sign.

Absolutely loved Flower. Funny story when I was a kid I went into a Sportsco shop in Qld with my dees jersey on and number 2 on my back of course and the owner asked me how long I followed the dees for. We got to talking and bugger me i was talking with Jim Flower, Robbies brother. Small world and I got a part time job there too. it’s funny how things happen in life sometimes.

Sorry dmma I meant a leadership group like ours or do they all have more than 2 in their leadership group. Basically are we the only club with 2 leaders in the leadership group in the afl.
