  1. I have no reason to stay with Telstra now at all, if I ever did !
  2. As others here have said. if you need a whole shoulder/knee/ankle strapped in Jan before training you are not fully functioning should have been fixed before Xmas unless it’s brand new. get it fixed, no contact training, until you use less tape at training rather than playing a competitive match. though that only gives something to aim at in a game.
  3. Definitely, in this case the supporters before the players they are getting paid for their efforts the supporters on the other hand pay for the privilege
  4. I think we can be excited by his prospects but he has not played a game for many months. The excitement about his abilities is as I said before very Ox like before his knees, to my dim memory anyway. Not saying ability, just the excitement. Go Dees, Good Luck Fraser, make an impact !
  5. It's starting to feel a lot like FOOTBALL ! smile...
  6. Good luck to the girls, my memory is vague these days, but I can remember the Cheer Squad girls playing against other CSG. That would have been about 1969 or 70. Only ever played against maybe 4 other girls sides. Times have moved on and just as well ! Good Luck again, Go Dees, hope you all have a game to remember.
  7. EH you picked this point up well, I read it but overlooked the extrapolation you have on it, quite possibly you are correct, very exciting possibilities, certainly from the forward side of centre, watching Kossie cause havoc, well I hope Go Dees
  8. Agree all the above thanks for going great write up makes me smile
  9. These figures are as good as anyone. No guarantees of course, but surely there is a reason to be optimistic rather than pessimistic. Especially now we have Chocco to do a bit of one on one training and motivation. Glass half full at least for this year Go Dees. not many days now to watch them run around.
  10. 40 goals from a Demon player, really sets the rest up, well I hope it does, a good start to win few games one reliable forward
  11. It’s seems he is wearing a number at training. Does that imply anything at all? the other question s how tall and how much does he weigh compared to the other small s we have.? skills and ability? I have no idea I cannot get to training. And finally how old was his dad when he started with the Dees and weight and height and how long did it take the Wiz to show any ability. Or was he fantastic from the start. will love to read any answers might be a fairy tale but why not try.
  12. It’s always sad to lose a loved one, family or friend. It just highlights the need to live life when you can. I can remember 64 a bit, supported the Dees but never attended. Never thought it would become a drought. hope we win a flag and play consistently well over the next couple of years. the chance may not come around in time for some supporters. RIP. Go Dees
  13. Good question and what height is he and guess at the weight compared to perhaps Spargo Kossie and Bedford and even the 2 new guys Laurie and Bowie have I got that correct ?
  14. Love reading these reports, read 'em twice, can not stop smiling Thanks to all
  15. CC. Ditto. Great report. Many thanks
  16. TK. Thanks , your visit was well worth it, great write up
  17. It’s not so much the effort in the time trial, but the whole vibe in how he presented himself in a year when there was little or no football, his size, athleticism and the expectations of the supporters versus the way the Ox played in his first couple of seasons (before the knees. Hard to remember Now ) and the expectations of many the same supporters for the years to come for the Ox as he matured as a footballer. Very hard to remember, my memory is going the same way as my hairline. It’s disappearing. Chase your dream indeed. Good luck !
  18. I hope this lad will be as good as his apparent attributes lead many to believe. And I am as bad or hopeful as any poster. And he may indeed become the one that slipped through, hope so anyway. And all this from a highlights package and no one I know having seen him play in a game as yet. The catch might be that the expectations of the long suffering Demonland readers, might push him too far and too hard, too early, and that he shines bright too quickly and burns out in a couple of short seasons. I hope not, but..... So lets not expect too much in his first year. He will have a lot of expectations to carry on his shoulders from us on Demonland. I hope he is strong !! Good Luck, go hard or go home. Reminds me a bit of an early Ox.
  19. I think I agree, all this stuff means nothing, unless the accumulation of points influences the way a plyer uses the ball. However they are or could be interpreted as an idea of how other "football brains" see our list and players ability. Rather than the biased red eye or blue eyes that all on here have, some to a lesser extent and others the other way. Now I am only reading this before doing some work on this laptop, some of the readers with a bit more time might be able to determine where we sit. "in other peoples views", I would be interested to know where we sit but too lazy to go into Fantasy or Supercoach other than a basic look. But its probably a good tool for some. I will look this up later.
  20. I assume most will have recieved this but this bit was most interesting OUR FACILITIES • Finish construction of high-performance facility at Casey Fields • Start construction of new Melbourne home base facility We have finished the construction of our high-performance facility at Casey Fields, including a recent $8 million upgrade of the AFL and AFLW facility, which has been timely given the impact of COVID-19 and training at a shared facility in AAMI Park. Currently our football program is based at AAMI Park, while our administration is based at several points within the MCG. Our vision is to bring together the entire club for the first time in recent history, based within the MCG local precinct. This means the football program, administration and social club are all in the one hub. We need to provide our men’s and women’s teams with the same elite training facilities that every other AFL club currently enjoys. We need to create a Members Social Club within walking distance of the MCG. For the first time, the State Government are funding a feasibility project involving State Government, the AFL and MFC to explore all possible options within the inner-city MCG local precinct. Now I will go back and read it all.
  21. Must be the silly season, BUT, I will have a go. Spargo, football brains TMac, huge incentive, get lighter, get fitter, get faster. Jackson, potential unlimited, please, no second year blues. Brayshaw, huge ability but needs to lift, and take pressure off Oliver and Viney Rosman, I just think his application to fitness in a Covid year with no football, stands out, exceptional potential Forwards and Centres, If they do well by 10% it will be a goodwin year.

    2021

Sometimes fortune or misfortune is all in the eye of the beholder, there are always two sides, sometimes more sides to every story. To me 2020 started off with very high hopes to complete a lot of personal stuff and to "move on". Footy as well. Then Covid ! Now we are back at square one for many of us, just a wasted year very little achieved for some. So I say as well I hope your 2021 is much better, for everyone. Best wishes and better fortunes to us all. Come on Dees !!
  23. Great, I like the fact that he went hard on his fitness etc over the 2020 when there was no competition. Says a lot for his application and expectations. hope we got the best drifter in the draft
