  1. Bloody bike rides in France, they keep me awake till all hours. Of Italy or Spain
  2. Again. Bit harsh on the esteemed uncle. where is his scarf ?
  3. I think this is a little crass. shapes do not go with cheddar, savoy crackers and tasty cheese at the least. They are great with a dry red. as long as there is enough of everything
  4. Always a great start to the football round to see the pie’s pantsed ! and to pick it.
  5. Totally agree. Very similar. I think it’s the agility he shows and confidence
  6. Ditto. My old dog would get up and leave the room when ever football was on the TV. my wife just tunes out. lucky unlucky love hate. All the same stick/emotions just the other end. She does wonder why I watch or stay to the end when it’s obvious we are beaten or not playing well.
  7. While I do not totally disagree re Naughton and Daniher, I did watch him closely on Sunday. He did Ok but we had a lot of the play. Not his natural position, but he is tall and can take a mark and is courageous. He copped a knock and was limping in one of the earlier games, I thought he was not fully fit, but then at this level, no one really is or they are not training hard enough. He might needs a few games to settle in up front, but it might be like Neitta and the OX. Who knows ?
  8. Thought he had a great first game. I saw him fly and almost grab a couple of marks and then he took that beauty. He floated around or over the pack rather than through it. he really did remind me of a young David Schwarz. Hope that is not a hex!
  9. I was at the ground but a long way from the Richmond end. So only saw close half the action. both Grundy and Oliver got better as the day went on. So 6 Grundy 5 Oliver I thought Lever was very good Rivers, Bowey, McVee and Pig all composed 4 Lever 3 Chandler had a great day 2 Fritz got better 1 Van Rooyen took marks like the Ox did when he started fantastic Apologies Rivers, McVee, Hibbo, Spargo, AnB, Tracca, Hunter, Langdon Sparrow, Bowey and others
  10. Picket in for sure, who to drop, NFI, I did think Petty was lost up forward , took a couple of nice marks but it was regulation stuff, but he took them, I think only one good shot on goal, I would send him back or to Casey . very glad it is not my decision, someone will always find fault. a very strong good win yesterday 4th quarter was excellent I do think if anyone is slightly injured, rest them, May needed the run, I thought Petty was injured last week.
  11. Went into the ground quite hard. Limped and proppy going to the rooms
  12. I used to get alcohol fuelled headaches like that. Now I can only consume 3 glasses of wine it’s not nearly a problem
  13. I had to open the thread, just in case, he does not need the money should play for nothing
  14. Not sure what’s going on 2 games 2 wins usually zip 2 Definitely chance for the 9
  15. What pub will they be at ? Moorabbin Social was alive 30 years ago ? Barkly Hotel top floor till 3am
  16. Just on this, I thought that we were not playing with "freedom" or not enjoying the night. Whether that was our fault or Lions I have no idea, but the game was lost, then in the last 12 minutes the enjoyment was back and it showed.
  17. To be honest, he is not a bad player either, similar ranking, certainly from Tiger supporters
  18. In an earlier post 150 out of a possible 160 games. talk about consistency No one at the MFC has done that quick before and I don't know of anyone at any other club that might have done something similar, Have a great game on Sunday Go DEES
  19. It’s clear, if you look at my tips, I know absolutely nothing about football. thought I did but I do better taking the opposite, but I have followed the Dees for more than 67 years. Is that an excuse or just a reason. Eff it I hope we beat Sydney
  20. Every one sees things differently I suppose, I thought McVee was not accountable, therefore poor, I thought it was Cameron who roamed where he wanted and he was creative. Just the way I saw it.
  21. In my opinion only Petty did not play well and has a sore leg, should not have gone back when he came back on. McVee, should never have been up against Cameron far too experienced, then later Daniher, head and shoulders. rubbish selection given he played against Cameron, needs more experience against other players not so good. No Salem, No Maxy, No Kossy, Petty should not play, McVee if he plays, not against a player like Cameron, Viney and Fritta should be fitter, only play May if he is 110%. There will only be 2 or 3 changes, So Max, Petty both injured maybe McVee So we replace like with like, a champion captain and ruckman and two backmen And line the rest of the team up, tell them to bend over a kick them in the back side. for their game. Apart from the last few minutes. Only a couple of minutes, a couple of times, did we look any good at all. Apart from those 12.
  22. what's going on, two weeks in a row and i mostly agree, was not looking to read this thread but it is compelling
  23. 6 - Lever 5 - Clarry 4 - Hunter 3 - Grundy 2 - BBB 1 - Fritz only a couple of others got out of first gear, other than the last 10 minutes
  24. Wot a load of rubbish
