  1. The weather apps suggest 11C but dry. Wet morning perhaps.i Tomlinson back to help Lever and May, Hibberd is out Bowey back in ? personally I like Smith up forward rather than Petty but I am like Sgt Schultz. I think they will use Harnes or Melksham as the sub, Kossy will play brilliantly fritta Chandler AnB need to play 1 goal better each. and can we take a deep breath and kick straight on set shots.
  2. Also no particular order McVee. from lucky to get on a list to surprise first round choice and now his name inked in before any other consideration. Just does it so well. Rivers. Love how he has improved his game Salem. Since coming back almost to his 2021 level. I think. Tomlinson. Has overcome injury and small selection setbacks (joke) best game for the club against the pies. And then not selected WTF. Hunter. A better wingman than Langdon at the moment. if only our forwards or those doing delivery. Could be said to have some improvers. Gone backwards in my opinion. JVR will end up a champion but has some learnings to gain yet. I hate learnings !
  3. Yes I thought these were about right
  4. So I think this works is there another way ? Rohan 5 and 5 Stewart 4 and 2 Tracca. 4 and 1 Close. 3 and 2 Viney 3 Lever 1
  5. Just a point if Rohan had been a Melb player how many weeks would he have received duty of care should apply no matter that you are on the same side concussion in 10 years time will not care who hit Cameron high , reckless , feet off the ground , player off for two weeks
  6. With the perceived wisdom of looking out of your behind. 15 points loss at Geelong is not the end of the world. I know they were short of 3 or 4 players but in reality so were the demons. Tommo should have played, Bowey and Oliver was missing, so selection errors perhaps some umpiring decisions were influenced by the location. At the MCG it will be neutral, no bias I hope. some players could have gone harder at different times, they missed targets etc again perhaps we got clearly outcoached in the last quarter, up till then even with some players only having a few touches and little impact we did OK, we ran out of puff, or they found some, I don’t know but the sky has not fallen. go Dees
  7. Yes I agree. Saying anyone will not be playing finals Just wrong she is not on the selection committee not her decision. She can of course have an opinion. Can’t we all. And yes in terms of who plays. Buttt out
  8. 5 goals till 3/4 time then 6 goals 2 we had 2 goals a quarter what 2g 4 points in the last, work out why we allowed those 6 goals and that’s why we lost
  9. No one really played well after half time . you could name quite a few. I did think Hunter, lever and Grundy did ok but their bigger guys Biclav, Rohan, and Hawkins on the wet night ran to the right spots. They just knew where the ball was going.
  10. Jeelong played their ground, once they got into the open and running, so much better than us. In the last. melb just seemed to watch. up till then we were in with a show. outcoached in the last quarter they were playing for their season we were just playing
  11. Now we need bang, bang, bang, bang
  12. And some if you think petty is better Casey. Is where he should have started back
  13. Just surprised at the selection of Petty over Tomlinson I have always thought Tommo best was better than Petty and I thought KB was a fantastic game by him. thought petty would come back via Casey but I am not at the practice and not a selector, my vision is mostly on the tv, but glad Smith is still there sheet I hope he stays fit. X factor in my view go Dees
  14. There is absolutely nothing better than a glass of frangellico , a strong short black coffee and some vanilla ice cream. or maybe just the frangellico !
  15. Great players these guys may, that’s maybe, become. They are only one player. with Tasmania changing the future, we should look to draft to cover this period of time when the draft is corrupted
  16. Really appreciate the hardness Hunter has brought into the side. Robertson would not call our side soft cooks anymore and Hunter is a hard cookie.
  17. Three things I have taken from watching the replay 1/. the first few minutes we played well but not full throttle pressure. We actually passed it to their centre line players a couple of times. Obvious result. 2/ After Viney goal we were by far the better side. Hardly allowed them any space and forced them wide. 3/ again in the last two minutes similar against Port, we had some terrible decisions go against us and we sort of stopped and expected the decision to be reversed. Which it did not and we were too comfortable in the 17 point lead. that did change in the last ball up. !! BOG. Viney. He is harder than his old man.
  18. My question Are we loading this year. ? were we loading last year ? doesn’t every side do a similar loading pattern. If they do doesn’t that make it all equall ? does it work ?
  19. Without going over board that game ( only listened to radio) seems to have laid down a foundation for the rest of this year. pies had some out. we had Petty, Bowey, Oliver, BBB, and Tmac missing all potential best 23, also Jackson to freo from our 2021 side thats as big a chunk of players as the pies one third almost we can be optimistic. !!
  20. Always like a half full glass. !
  21. Very below average game. Good for channel 7 TV, listen to the commentators polish the tuurd
  22. How come some sides look like they are playing absolutely shout housely and then when they play the mighty Dees they grow another leg and play great. It’s just not fair.
  23. Not concerned but I would like to know the reason I could not find a Casey side up either and they only have 5 hours to go Has Melbourne got a dose of the poos or has Collingwood ??
  24. I hope mondays umpires are watching that free in the ruck. Knees into the guts !!
  25. Now I do know I was there, cannot remember much, I do know we had watched Robbie a couple of times in the twos on earlier days. My memory is failing me... There was also another young player around that time I think, but not on that day and I remember thinking Flower huh he will not be any good with such a surname, but this other guy seems tough. Or am I remembering through beer coloured glasses. I do remember clearly The lad coming into the Redlegs (I think)after game function, led in by his father. Such a slight frame, how come he could play footy and I could not. He did get quite round of applause. For a long time the only reason you could take pleasure was R. Flower on the wing.. A definite reason for the Dees to go hard on Monday
