  1. I reckon it will take GWS at least a year to recover from this years capitulation in the GF, as we know too well.
  2. Wanga - pick 12, did alright out of the back pocket... and was well worth the pick.
  3. It’s Chris Judd all over again... oh the horror and he barracked for the Demons!!! ???
  4. If Martin doesn’t want to engage and explore the possibility of being in red and blue next year, then let’s move on. Not sook to the AFL Not blow our budget its Really no big deal, he’s a player who’s not achieved a lot despite evident potential and talent.
  5. I don’t think GWS have the currency to do a deal that would sate us. Them getting Green and another top 10 this year won’t happen, as a result. And that’s only a good thing.
  6. Thanks Rusty! Not a fan of “Dees” either, only use it when loudly acting like a pompous git will really [censored] off the Dons/Hawks/Cats fans around me. There’s something about being beaten by a bunch of effeminate snobs that really upsets them... ?
  7. Don’t call me “dude” dude! I’m not one of the myopic pessimists on this site unable to integrate data beyond this season into a more balance view of our prospects. I’m well aware we finished 17th, you (and your fellow myopic pessimists) don’t need to repeat it over and over... we’re all aware of the [censored] year we just had. But prior to that we’d been improving year on year for 4 years and in 2018 we were in the preliminary final. So a balanced view would take that all into account, and on that basis put us well ahead of Carlton, despite the horror of this year. so go demons. ?
  8. Easy pass for mine. He clearly has little ambition (aspires to join Carlton ffs) beyond earning more cash, and has minimal understanding of how he can join or contribute to a successful team. I suspect he’s loath to consider us because with Langdon, Fritz etc... he might have to work hard to justify the bickies he wants. next.
  9. This is more entertaining than most of our games this year! ??
  10. What time does trade period officially finish today?
  11. Massively premature to state that now.
  12. In part, It’s not a coincidence that our best footy for the last two years occurred when we had a fit VDB marauding on a wing. This season was severely cruelled by him and KK being unavailable. We’ve now some depth on the wings which will help a lot...
  13. For some inexplicable reason I have us getting Finlayson in the 3-6 pick swap..!
  14. So has anyone run the numbers as to how many points of benefit GWS would gain by getting pick 3, no bid on Green (until pick 4)..? As we should be asking for at least half that gain in addition to the 3-6 point difference... yes?
  15. I think we should tease and drag it out, then reject the offer and take pick 3 to the draft. The though of it going to bombers via syd makes me a bit ill... (unless it’s an absolute ripping deal).
  16. Geelong don’t need a high pick for Kelly, they need a mature quality mid for Kelly, as they are of the belief their window is still open (Ablett, Danger, Selwood...). Not rebuilding... Yet. ?
  17. When we get Lever, May and now Tomlinson on the park together they'll add a bonus of mature hard footy smarts and grunt that will help our young team step back up in 2020. If the footy god smile on us an VDB, KK and Smith recover we shall be a beast to deal with. Getting excited about 2020. ?
  18. I loved the big bodied VDB playing the wing, hunting and hurting opposition player, so like this move of Tomlinson, who while not as quick as VDB has endurance and presence. Welcome aboard!!!
  19. Just because some don’t believe that Frosty is the second coming of Bruce “the flying doormat” Doull, doesn’t make us “Frost haters” as some hysterically suggest.
  20. I’ve forgotten what this thread was about..?! ?
  21. Frosty’s greatest current asset is his breakout runs from Defence, as May’s a better gorilla minder, Lever’s a better intercept marker. Problem is, and the reason I’d suggest Frost isn’t valued as highly as some here think he should be, is that his chaotic runs while spectacular and sometimes effective, are against the teams desired way of playing because they are chaotic for us as well. May, Lever and I’d suggest OMac play to the plan with ball in hand and that’s what has them valued more. Just as Jack Watts was exited for his inability to play to the team standards, same with Frosty..
  22. Fyfe to Suns plus change... Freo rebuild well underway..?
