Bayley Fritsch set shots 2020, never in doubt
-
We are having a crack tonight Pity we didn’t do this in the last two games.
-
Sadly I don’t think Weideman will ever be able to take a one grab contested mark
-
Thank God for Lever
-
Cats might win this!
-
How could you miss Bedford !
-
But not this time ?
-
Why have we recruited so many players who cannot execute skills in the wet compared to other teams. Petracca, Oliver and May, the only exceptions. I thought last week was the worst performance of the year but tonight is looking good to usurp it.
-
Fumbles...we really are average
-
Trac to Fritsch to Weid was the first bit of decent footy all night. More of that please....
-
Looks lost unfortunately.

Where (who) is @Petracattack these days?
-
Worst performance of the year but horribly predictable. @binman please no more Oscar excuse posts. It has been evident his abilities are not sufficient at AFL level.
-
He has trouble one-grab marking, field kicking (set shots are good), very slow, wide turning circle, not a natural tackler, his handpassing is far from elite and his ruck work is average. I hope he is not soaking up too much of our salary cap.

Memories. I remember waiting in the MCC grandstand during the 70’s for Dad to finish drinking with his mates in the Redlegs. I’d wait ages for him. Mostly thrashings in those days but sometimes we got down to the rooms and afterwards the atmosphere was great after a win. Ray Biffin, Laurie Fowler and Paul Callery were so fair dinkum and young Robbie was fair with skill sublime. Those interstate games at least gave him a moment to shine. To think my father drove us home after how many pints... I fondly remember spud Dullard, loved Big Carl, Fabulous Phil, Brent Crosswell and Peter Moore in the RednBlue. Brian Wilson joined us from Footscray and won a Brownlow in 1982. It’s not widely known, but one VFL umpire who knew him very well told me he voted Brian favourably when umpiring his games that year which I guess helped secure the games best & fairest award that year. Bones Grinter, Stinger, Strawbs, Jimma, Sean W, Neita, Vines, Lovett, the Febes, Schwarta, Lyon, Ouze, Whizz just great boys that gave their all for the jumper. We always tried seemingly hopeless guys from other clubs but so many succeeded. Faves include Henry Coles, Kevin Dyson, Jamie Shanahan & Ricky Jackson. Just think how many recruits we have in our current team. I was there and Liam Jurrah’s debut against Essendon at Etihad he was amazing. Anyway Oliver, Max & CP5 are brilliant footballers who hopefully lead us to premiership glory...go Dees

Vanders is a beast

GGS Sean Lemmens no 23, had no awareness, should have instantly shot at goal. First instinct was to give off...take your chances son !
-
They are all winnable games. Whether we convert them into four points is a mystery. Our miserable history weighs against us sure, but Meggs is an optimist and I like the current blend of youth, core stars and welcome recruits. Car’n a Dees, let’s pick each team off one week at a time and make the finals in 2020. From there you never know...it should be wonderfully entertaining to watch during this endless dreary quarantine.

Weid please kick this, they did
-
May had to mark that one.

I really don’t like us constantly calling our players ‘spuds’. Paging Werridee, you’ve have made it abundantly clear via umpteen posts in this thread alone, that you think he is one (a spud) but remember he is one us, trains hard, bleeds red and blue every time he represents us in battle. Give Charlie a chance ? you never know he might surprise us all.

Oliver was amazing, Jackson looks like an inspired pick 3 and our percentage is now 100%. Good last quarter. I didn’t think we missed the supermacs tonight. Lever and May were good. Love Langdon but his kicking ?

How good is our go to player Salem?
-
That should not be given a 50m penalty

Unfortunately wet weather shows up players with poor skills i.e. Oscar, Hannan too
