Not my cup of tea for 'sliding doors', but think you've overreacted a tad:

What if, by chance, GCS don't get picks 1 & 2. Would you trade 2 for King? Anderson and Rowell are tantalising.

All we need is one more Eagles player to be found to have done similar and the whole team gets banned. Isn't that how the WADA rules go? Then another 15 clubs to have done similar and the 2019 Granny is Melb vs GCS The pieces are falling into place... Bwahahahahaaaa!!!!!!

Langdon = pick 20ish

Sword fight switcheroo?

I'd reckon you to be more the snorkel and diving mask type dc. A bit like the Trough Monster back in the 90's

Tomlinson, Langdon, Elliot plus Anderson or Young in the draft is not a bad October trade/draft period. Would've preferred one match winning mid with class such as Hill, Jack Martin or Coniglio. Really hope GCS don't get 1 & 2 and we pick Anderson.

Good post. You certainly are a realist.

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
Moonshadow replied to olisik's topic in Melbourne Demons
Question is, does the club rate King higher than Anderson? Personally, I'd rather Anderson. -
Who are the talented players we gave up to the Hawks for some low draft pick? We got 3 for Frawley as a FA. Fitzy? Cheney? Yeah nah.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON

Hill and/or Martin. We either didn't chase them or didn't chase hard enough. Langdon and Tomlinson are upgrades from what we have, but neither are what we really want. -
WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Moonshadow replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
We may not give any draft picks up to get Thomlinson, but we will need to give a decent 4 year deal and he does take up a spot on the list. Is he better than what we currently have? Yes. Is he spot on what we need? Not sure, wouldn't exactly call him an elite outsider. It could be argued that the SC space that Thomlinson would fill could be used as part of a deal getting a bigger fish this year, next year or the year after. It's not as easy as saying "he costs us nothing". -

A mate of mine has been good friends with Danny for a couple of decades and worked with him at the Tigers. We were talking about Spud only a month ago and he was in tears of laughter reciting some of the funny stories from their past. Sounded like a ripping bloke. He also spoke of how highly he thought of Spud for opening up and getting help for his depression. Vale Spud

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ

Not sure I agree completely. These moves must've been part of tweaking the game plan. Moving Fritter and Petty forward gave us better marking options and imo Fritter is more dangerous and creative by foot in the forward 50 than back. More creative by handball too. I believe I saw less long bombs (but still too many) and more lowering of the eyes. The game in NT vs WCE was evidence of this, and we were close to winning that game. That would be Rawling's influence, or was that before he returned as a forward assistant from Casey??? My point being that there were indicators that change was happening mid season and while we didn't exactly win a stack of games, some changes are likely worth perserving with. I'm sure there will be more changes to how we play as Richo, Burgess and others come into the FD
