I am not as impressed as many on here seem to be. We played poor footy until about 5 to go before hlf time and then played better but still did not use the ball well and muffed our inside 50s. In the last we ran all over them, which yes, a good side does but they went to water. If we play like that next week we will be thumped from here to kingdom come. We need the 3 missing forwards in the side. If it is tall so be it. However good sides win ugly games of footy and we did that. A very good sign.

I have no confidence at all. We don't have a forward line. Pickett is the only genuine item down there but he is young so you won't know what sort of performance you will get out of him. Their midfield is not too bad either. I suppose the best consilation we have is their forward line which isn't too good. Lets hope Melbourne won't be Melbourne with this sort of game.

Carltons disposal is dreadful. Improve a bit and they are a chance.

I rreally wonder what the side is. Had a look earlier at Casey and vfl but nothing.

I still don't like our forward line. Fritsch, Weed and BBB out is a massive blow. We have got by with 2 out but 3 might be pushing it.

Some people are forgetting we are comming up against the best ruckman this year in McEvoy. He also swings forward so to have Max spending more time down forward could be fraught with dangers. I would keep the options open on that. I do not believe for 1 minute that Melksham can replace Fritsch. I would bring Brown in because he will at least provide forward pressure and Petty in for may. Melkshan to Casey and Chandler bought in as sub. Just forget about Daw for crying out loud.

An interesting conundrum. Pakhenam line trains this weeekend will be running buses from westall to clayton so I usually go to belgrave to get the train when this stuff happens. Would have to leave at 3/4 time probably to get the first bounce at the G and make my way up to level which will take 20 mins. Might consider it though.

This is a complete joke. We now have to qr code going into the ground so we should be able to use our normal MFC members ticket. Those buying tickets at the gate should supply id and that is entered into system when purchasing ticket. I don't care what any one thinks the pollies just want to have complete control over our lives.

It would help if the club let members know as it is a reciprical game. I think what you are talking about is hawthorn members only.

Thanks daisycutter. What I would like to know is why hasn't the MFC sent out any messages to members that this is the case. This shoould have been done yesterday at the latest. Communicating with members is not one of the strong points about te MFC. Maybe the new president can put the shoe up some backsides and get the administrators to look after the members a bit better.

Where we can I am all for playing the younger types. Petty for mine.

We need to see Brown and the weed down forward to get a better idea of them. I still think it the weakness in the side but have operated well under the circumstances. Lets hoope the 2 forwards can operate well then we may have a very good side in operation but the opposite can happen as well.
