yes respect is one thing, but to all clubs this is a business and treated as such and if they can screw you they will, all I am saying what is it with some supporters of our club that we give up pick 4+ TJ or CS etc we don't have to and nor we should at the start.

I take it that most posters want Sheedy as coach and if he does not coach us then the board failed? for gods sake he has just been told that he will not be coaching the bombers and his side is still in line for the finals, what if he says to wait until they are out of it, is that the clubs fault then? if you think it is, you are not in the real world !! As for wanting a spill of the board, what crap, we are moving out of debt getting a new home, 27,000 odd members all time high, moving into the modern era as a club, having a stable board is the reason top clubs become succesful over a long period of time.

For gods sake can people take their hand of if for a moment, KS , DP, CC, and ND have all been told that they will not coach their clubs next year, do you lot think that they will sign with another club this week? Do you think that all these clubs will rush in, dont think so !!, settle down and wait for it to unfold.

Rang the club and spoke to PG and SH about CC and advised him that out of 27,000 so members that on the 2 other Melbourne websites, which have about (correct me if I am wrong, combined of about 200 - 300 members, sorry if I am wrong) that they do not want CC and are putting together a petition to pesent to the club that he not coach the club. PG assured me that with those numbers out of our total membership signing the petition he will personally look into it and intervene for CC not to be given the job.

I am happy with the process, as I believe that the Board are after more than just a coach but what is needed to take us to the next level, is that wrong? what is the rush to appoint a coach now and what purpose would it serve, none, as for them deflecting blame if it does not work out how can that be? the board put the process in place and in the end they take the ultumate blame as the members will remind them of that. I seem to remember the cats going through a process and where are they now, the saints did the same thing and I think they have the right coach, the dogs did the same. All the board are doing is trying to get it right across all sections of the club agin is that wrong?

I say this at the start, I would have cleaned out all the coaching staff at the end of the year, but I heard Riley's interview on SEN today and I must say I was impressed with what he had to say, the main points, Had Chook play HBF for 15 mins and might play their longer as a learning curve. Had Frawley play 120 mins to fatstrack him and play on a guy that can play the game (not get 10min here and there and get his bum cold). Pointed out that Davey was told to stay next to the point post as his opposing player (I forget who it was) killed us last time we played had heaps of inside 50's and kicked 1 or 2 goals where this time he only had 1 inside 50 so he did not mind because other avenues were open in the forward line, (even the boys at SEN liked that one) He might not get the job but gee he was impressive.

Gee to all those people that said Newton was not ready, has not got his head together, has to spend the rest of the year at Sandy, will not be ready until next year, goes to show what you know about football, (Jack Shicht), every other club can fast track players but us.
