  1. I was actually more upset after the filth match.

However you dress it up, the team choked.

Not much consolation, but I put $100 on the filth, and $100 on Carlton.

At least I've seen my team win a flag. Which I never expected would happen.

Tis a lovely day ... I've been for a nice bikeride. Longer one scheduled for tomorrow.

Channel 7 suggesting pies lawyers will seek an injunction if maynard gets suspended

They'll go through the appeals process first.

If Maynard is suspended, and the appeal is dismissed, they will definitely go to court. Zero doubt about that.

  3. My former neighbour played rugby for years, at a relatively high level. He was prone to being very aggressive ... I witnessed him going from talking calmly to losing his temper/shouting violently in seconds.

He drove me out of my old house. I didn't feel safe living next to him. (Inner city/terraces houses very close together, and there was an 'issue' between us.)

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt by presuming he had/has CTE, rather than him simply being a psycho. He seemed to exhibit classic CTE behaviour.

I get that, OD. But until such time as it’s case closed with that thug sitting out the next 2-4 matches… I’ll continue to fear. Re Cripps: I would’ve bet my life he’d lose that appeal and from the moment he won it, I realised there’s no such thing as a 100% sure thing in any of these cases.

He won the appeal because the appeals tribunal ruled that the original tribunal member has misdirected himself before making his decision. He didn't win due to a re-analysis of the incident.

  5. If the dog gets off at the Tribunal, I presume/hope that the AFL will appeal. Obviously the filth will appeal if he is suspended.

So given the likelihood (inevitability) of an appeal hearing, the decision of the Tribunal hearing may be largely irrelevant. Except perhaps to give the filth an additional ground of appeal on technical grounds (as per the Cripps case, when the appeals tribunal ruled that the Tribunal had misdirected itself).

FWIW, if the appeals tribunal upholds a suspension, it is inevitable that the filth will take the matter to court given the huge stakes.

Just stupidly read some comments on facebook from Pies fans and it’s sickening. To the point where you lose faith in humanity.

Im not sure i’ll attend another Collingwood V Melb game.

Not a good idea to read their comments. Only gets you riled up.

I didn't attend KB match because I hate being around those disgusting subhumans. I relented and went to the QF.

Who’s the commentator that keeps on saying “deadly”?

Possibly the same one who described Horne-Francis as a "revelation". Yes, the #1 draft pick, who was never going to be anything other than a star.

Burgoyne ... listening to him is like scraping nails down a blackboard.

Hodge ... [insert your own comment]

  8. Wow ... so disappointing.

    A few random thoughts.

The slow starts are diabolical. It cost us the match. The filth could have been even further ahead at qtr time ... they missed a few sitters.

The filth looked more skilful. They hit targets more often, and fumbled less.

When Langdon was being well beaten by Sidebottom, the coach should have switched wingers. If Gus hadn't been assaulted, he may have been shifted onto him.

Overall most of our boys were well down on their best form. Not sure why that was.

One thing that is apparent is that the filth are definitely 'gettable'.

Just when I thought I couldn't hate the filth more ...

  9. A thought.

Ahead of Round 1 there was plenty of talk about the Dogs' 4 talls forward line - Naughton, Lobb, JUH and Darcy. And how would we stop them?

Stopping them wasn't a problem. (Yeah,I know the filth are a better side.)

    I haven't taken them off!

They weren't very lucky in last year's finals series.

Having said that, I doubt that there is a causal link between your choice of undergarments and the outcome of football matches.
