Get serious
I stand corrected. FWIW, De Goey's injury was far less serious. But my overall point remains the same.

Get serious
The problems are chronic. Years of failure, low membership (which will be worse next year), lack of funds/resources. Players at clubs like Geelong, Hawthorn and now Richmond are prepared to sign on for less money than they could get elsewhere because they see the value in potentially playing in premiership sides. Not so with the Demons. I don't know how much Brayshaw is being paid, but I suspect it is more than he would get at one of the clubs I've mentioned. So that has an impact on the salary cap. Similarly, star players (e.g. Lynch) don't want to come to the club. MFC needs someone like him ... or Cameron. No chance. So the rich get richer and ... well you know the point. As for resources, when De Goey was injured they flew him to Germany for treatment. I doubt that MFC would have the money to do that. The big clubs' medical/development departments seem so much better equipped resourced than ours. Having regard to this, it makes the Bulldogs' premiership win all the more amazing. And Leceister in the EPL. Of course, in each case sustained success was not achieved. For my part, one premiership would be enough ... after supporting the team for 51 years!! Rant over ...

Keith “Bluey” Truscott Trophy 2019
The club did offer him a contract. But not for an amount that he deemed sufficient.

Keith “Bluey” Truscott Trophy 2019
Viney finishing 3rd was unbelievable. Bring in the auditors. I was surprised that Salem didn't finish higher than seventh. And surprised that Hunt finished top 10.

Farewell Sam Frost
Apparently he was OK to play, but not among the rough & tumble of centre bounces. And AF, I haven't posted about Brayshaw's back issues before. I only got the inside word yesterday. 100% accurate.

Farewell Sam Frost
Not trade related. But Brayshaw wasn't played in the middle all year because he had back issues.

Farewell Sam Frost
From an insider at the Club ... Frostie's asking price is way too high!! Club not prepared to pay what he (or his manager) is asking. If he doesn't lower his expectations, the Club will let him go.

Longest Kick Competition 2019
Perhaps he should kick more during matches? Rather than handball to teammates under pressure?

List changes who do we cut, trade or go after.
Wagners are not AFL standard. Hopefully they are on minimum (or close to minimum) coin.

I’ve watched 5 decades of failure!
You're making quite an assumption there ... NEXT premiership?

Finals Week 3
The filth finished the H+W season with 15 wins, and a percentage of 117. They also won a final. MFC finished with 5 wins, and a percentage of 78.

Does the Tigers win give us hope?
Richmond were able to top up with Lynch. A match winner. No way a player of that quality/experience (but not old) would come to MFC. So, it's a no from me.

I’ve watched 5 decades of failure!
I've been actively following the Dees since 1968. As I posted on another thread, I cannot see the Demons winning another flag. Richmond are obviously a great side, top 2. But they can simply top up with the best forward in the game, Lynch. He pulled them over the line last night. Players like him simply won't come to MFC. We are able to recruit some OK players ... eg. May/Lever. But not players like Lynch who are genuine match winners. Conversely, we lose players like Howe. Now All Australia (I think).

Finals Week 3
I was at the match. It is depressing to think that a team like Richmond, a top 2 side, can top up with Lynch, virtually the best forward in the game. A player like that simply wont come to Melbourne. And Howe, now an All Australian, walks. What hope is there?

Jack Watts - let’s get him back
Perhaps we could get Jimmy Toumpas back as well? ?

Jack Watts - let’s get him back
He likes t#ts and swimming, but never liked going when it was it his turn.
