I watched the footy confidential last night and I got the impression that gary was saying to Voss that the melbourne job is up for grabs. Voss stated that off field stability is important to him, facilities etc. which melbourne are improving in. Voss would be in a position where, he would be in a club with a new future just like he was when brisbane started up. I feel that this would appeal to him as he could have more say and put his stamp on the club. They had very little in the beginning and our situation parallels that. Voss also talking about having conversations with grant thomas. I may be making assumptions here but I'm betting that he is so sure of being able to do the job because thomas will be handling the man management and Voss the preparation and coaching. Any others see the program?

Does this new development allow a player to replace Yze who will now be on the long term injury list? Can we promote Neaves for a couple of games?

We would have to find a coach who is considered to be better than ND. If Voss wanted to become an assistant I would be happy if it was under neale. I think that the other experienced coaches wont be available until after next season. ie. Pagan?

We must be active in trades this year. We need a marquee player such as Pavlich or Reivoldt. I believe that these will be more important than Judd to our side. Imagine either of these 2 with Neita over the next 2 years! We need to cull 5-6 players and trade draft picks for one of the above players. Ferg, Ward, Brown, Bizzel, ?Miller/Jamar to go.

I have heard him a number of times on Sports today and he knows his stuff. He has recent GF experience, Leader of men, spent time under mathews in the box, wants to be an advocate for the young kids. I would take him on no worries. Perhaps there may be others but he is the one WE need.

We will not win a flag until the Mclean group of players is 25-27 years old, and the Petterd/Jones/Bartram group is 23-24. In the mean time we need to by one or two gun KPP's such as Pavlich, Reiwoldt etc. Hopefully Neaves will develop? Window for a flag is 5 years away.

No. It was a legitimate tackle with a 1 in 1000 result where cornes landed awkwardly. After watching the many replays you can see that both were moving quickly, pickett did not deliberately cause what happened to cornes. I was very happy to see him sitting up, but I was surprised that he was not wearing the collar and placed on a jordan frame?

I doubt that sylvia is 100% fit and he's certainly not on his own there! Playing forward would be less taxing than playing on HBF or in the midfield where he would be playing if fit. Still need to work out our forward line as the players have not all played there together before.

I think that we as a club began to believe the hype. The best victorian side in 07, the great white hope!. In reality we are at least 5 years away from having any real chance at a Grand final berth, let alone a premiership! Neitz, Robbo, Yze, white, Holland, Bizzel, Brown, Mc Donald, Pickett etc, will not see a premiership. Brock, Bate, Bartram, CJ, TJ, Bruce, Green, Petterd, Garland, Newton, Neaves, PJ, Hughes, Moloney, Buckley, Bell, Rivers, Davey, and others might. BUT we need to add at least 2 top class KPP'S AND 1 RUCKMAN. I would be looking at Pavlich or Reiwoldt up forward and a top FB/CHB. We may need to trade some of our cream to get players who have 8-10 years of good footy in them. I would try for Judd, but as a midfielder I feel that as good as he would be we need a KPP more ATM. Thoughts?

Just remembering how in a pre season game, wallace rucked two ruckman against white (one was acting as a tall rover) would this be suitable with a White/PJ combo as they are both agile for their height? The only thing that will save our backline is a good midfield, we need tough bodies in there and a target up forward.

I have read through this long post and I believe that I can see what the points are. 1. People find child abuse reprehensible. 2. Sledging is a tactic well used in professional sport 3. Would nt we have the option of having 1 or 2 less players on the list. I remember another club cutting their numbers fine. I would think that Judd would be worth at least 10,000 more members and 50% more sponsorship for the club?
