0cco, Your idea may be bordering on blasphemy at round 2 of this season! BUT with a list that is becoming cruelled by injury and the poor form that we have seen it may well work in our favour. Port decided to send their players to the OR and play the kids, and it looks like a wise decision on their part. I have read a post that shows the next 8 rounds and we could lose all of these games. We will not be able to draft ready made footballers, but we certainly would have a better chance of picking up an established ruckman, or key back with these picks and trades. I am curious as to wether we will see a coaching change during the year in order to get the Lyon/Judd double to the club?

INMHO we need some more experience in the backline. Who is going to go with Franklin? The guy is a freak! We need someone to fill the hole, a third player up, ie. Bizz. Bartram to tag Williams. ? Wheatley as link man or Brown dog. Is wheels out with concussion? A better plan should create better performances for the forwards, ie, Miller, Neitz, Yze and Robbo. Expect Moloney to make an impact. Tight and tough play from Junior and Jones.

It's hard not to be biased as a dees supporter. But I think the general consenus is that Neitz is a workman type FF and that Richo is a potential gamebreaker. Dirty word " potential". The perception would be that Richo would be better because he is hyped up by the media and is more "flashy". The rest comes down to individual traits which would be difficult to measure. I'm not sure that others see Neitz as a real threat as they do Fev, Hall and Gehrig?

As far as recruiting goes it would be a good idea to get everitt as we will not be able to compete in finals with white as the no.1 ruckman. Everitt can play the role of sandilands as is a proven goalkicker. Aker we could take or leave, although he could free up davey who plays better up the ground.
