Amusing...the same day the club delists a player who is contracted we are frothing at the mouth because a player may or not be going when he comes out of contract. Meh... It's a business now. He can't go to club of choice unless we trade or the club of choice is bottom of the ladder. Next season. I am hereby emotional invested in no player whatsoever... It's about the team.

Because of the tattslotto which is draft picks I am 100% with you on us. Had we traded pick 3 for a Dylan Shiels then I would be happy in the knowledge of exactly what I was getting for Frawley. To compare Frawley to 18 year old footballers that haven't even kicked a ball at AFL level is plain folly.

As I said before no problem with the club being ruthless as long as we all don't moan and start flaying a contracted MFC player who next year say he wants out.
-
You better add Freo to that list as well.
-
If you are concerned with pathway for players from Casey to MFC then would you suggest that Allison and Miller are problematic as are they not the conduit from Casey to MFC ?

Revisionism at it's very best.... Go back and read the Wines thread who most were gungho about and watch the change when it became apparent that Toumpas may fall to us. Given what everyone knew about Wines and Toumpas - according to expert opinions Toumpas was the more credentialled footballer. Please point to me one TAC watcher like Quayle or Footy journo's who talk to recruiters who rated Wines ahead of Toumpas. (I am also now on record on my thoughts about "expert opinions" - they are guesses at best that consistently fall short)

I think it is more of a contract extension that ended poorly but I am not surely you will see the subtlety

I like the idea and am keen enough to tip in money but lazy enough to say I won't organise it.

Without knowledge it may also be possible that he either doesn't believe that Roos sees him as an option going forward or he is not prepared to do what is being asked of him. I use Blease as the example as one who said he did not like the direction of the game plan ( please note that I see this as a poor reflection on Blease, not on the game plan)

If we pay him out and delist him all well and good but then we posters shouldn't [censored] and moan when a contracted player/RFA or UFA wants out . Ron Burgundy - interested in your thoughts on loyalty and the way the club is handling this (and for the matter, the Trengove episode). I have little problem with the rookie or the payout scenario but on the other hand I won't curse the sun when a player exercises free agency or wants out from the club whilst still under contract. Football is a business. Loyalty as we knew it is dead and buried - either from players or the club. (I do may an exception with Mitch C as that was exceptional circumstances - curse you MC)

Ill tell you in two - three years.. in 2003 we used pick 3 on Colin Sylvia - would you prefer to have kept Frawley or got Colin Sylvia ? edit - at this stage we have got absolutely zero for Frawley so the question should be - are you happy he has gone from the club and that has been done to death.

i just think that we look to these interviews to unravel the mysteries of the mind and give us a better insight into who is prepared to do the hard yards and commit to us for an extended period. I have two kids 24 and 22 and my squeeze, she has 25,23 and 21 ( brady bunch) - whilst they are great kids and all going a good direction I would be less than honest if I didnt say that the directions did have a few twists and turns in it. What was correct direction, assured to us with conviction, shifted more than once. We are actually lucky with 4 out of the 5 completed or almost completed the university courses they set their minds to at 18 - this is a rarity. That we draft 18 year olds who display certain traits and capabilities at that time certainly doesn't mean that these traits/capabilities will be improved on or even translate to the big stage and conversely players who we have been told are ho hum at draft time blossom at 21/22.

the old ready to go from day one chestnut ( it goes nicely hand in hand with no more skinny kids)

Tom McDonald is listed at 194cm - take a tape and look at 2cm and tell me it makes a difference. (said the actress to the bishop)

Can I ask (politely) how old you are because i am tipping 30 or over. Remember back to being just turned 18 and what your true passions were - my passions at that age changed as often as my underwear ( weekly). So many kids drafted at this age are immature with a capital IM Again, harks back to RPFC's argument of raising the draft age.

i retract my love for DeGoey - how can we go past Dillon Viojo Rainbow....come on.......

you are forgetting - anything poor that has ever happened blame Neeld ( fallback position - blame Watts)

you need to realise that love is a fluid thing - depending on which paper/expert/poster with credible rumours you listen to.

just putting it out there - I box and I win every fight I am in by a 100 metres.

The experts never get the current draft right assessing under 18 footballers and we are relying on assessments regarding under 17 footballers ! Holy crap on a skewer..

Firstly, if he was downgraded to a rookie i presume it would be at his contracted $ amount I dont know what the rookie earns next year but it is going up to $57K in 2016. I would presume Evans would be on $100K. (I would assume all players on the senior list and are not 1st or 2nd year draftees are on $100K plus). Do country leagues pay $100K a year to play footy ?

I can ....flat on their backs half consciously hearing someone counting to 10

I have seen enough potential unfulfilled at our club to last me 5 lifetimes...
