  1. This. Daicos is in his second season and is leading many awards and a Brownlow favourite. He’s one of the factors behind Collingwood’s rise from 17th to flag favourite. There are no guarantees with recruiting but the addition of a player of that calibre could be enormous over a long term, especially when added to an already quality list.
  2. For Melbourne - the great Tommy Bugg kicked four goals and for North Melbourne, the great BBB also booted four. I think Brown should forget the haircuts in future and grow his hair back to previous lengths.
  3. Poor old Robbo’s crook this week. Shouldn’t bag him at least over this one.
  4. What if they’re gone and JT and crew genuinely want someone they know will still be available at 20?
  5. I asked the question on the Changes thread and nobody could give a definitive answer. Someone wrote that today is the day on which the 2022 playing contracts are supposed to expire so I guess we’ll know soon enough.
  6. Is anyone concerned that at this late stage we have yet to contract Michael Hibberd or Jake Melksham (according to the Herald Sun subscriber pages):
  7. Good luck to him - he certainly was a talent when he played Under 18s.
  8. Does anyone know what junior club he played for in Victoria before the family moved over to WA?
  9. Whatever happened to the key talls from SA who were so much in vogue earlier this year? Have they fallen away or are the SA clubs hiding them?
  10. Looks unlikely to be taken in the top 40 but does that mean we would draft him?
  11. I can guarantee that when players get 30 touches in a game, a few of those won’t work out perfectly. Some will be due to extra pressure on the player with the ball and some due to the player receiving. If you’ve watched enough of their games, you would realize that Tsatas’ disposal is up there with the best at this level. That’s why highlight reels are basically useless. Fair dinkum, on what you’ve offered up here, most of you wouldn’t have drafted Trac.
  12. Two goals in the first quarter to Max Gruzewski, a 193cm tall key who can play forward and back and who Melbourne has spoken with.
  13. Could be on his way to Windy Hill?
  14. Why not go for both Gunston & McKay? After all, Brown’s productivity has dropped below acceptable of late and we haven’t managed to get T.Mac on the field. Both getting older, slowing down and injured. They might be on their last legs next year.
  15. EDMUND’S MEGA TRADE UPDATE ON TARANTO, JACKSON, GUNSTON, RIOLI AND MORE “West Coast believe they’re still in the hunt for Luke, so we cannot rule out the Eagles. “Fremantle are seen to be the frontrunner there, that might still be the case, but the Eagles maintain they’re still in the race for the WA-born ruckman. “Luke Jackson’s gone, let’s just state that as fact.”
  16. Two top ten picks plus a decent player with other possible positional changes. This would give the club the opportunity to secure a ruck replacement and a tall key forward to cover future needs as compensation for such a talented young star.
  17. Perhaps he’s just checked out knowing his chances of a senior berth are pretty minimal. The only way he can resurrect his career IMO is at another club if one of them wants him.
  18. Hunt named at HBF.
  19. Young is a player of the future and tied to a long contract with the Dockers. No way.
  20. It’s a pity we missed out on that Sudanese ruckman who was tied to us before the AFL changed the rules.
  21. I’m interested in JVR’s height since some people claim that you have to be around 200cm to play as a key position forward. I’ve seen different statistics showing him to be 193, 194 & 195cm.
  22. The one major personnel issue that Melbourne has with its playing list is in the ruck. If Max is injured, we don’t have anyone on our list to replace him. Daw pulled out of yesterday’s Casey game and he also missed out three week’s ago. We could be in strife if Max has to miss for more than one or two weeks.
  23. 6. Clayton Oliver 5. Ed Langdon 4. Angus Brayshaw 3. Christian Petracca 2. Steven May 1. Tom Sparrow
  24. While everyone is acting like Nervous Nellie waiting for the next imaginary Covid19 test result, the Hawks have some injury concerns of their own to worry about. CJ Jiath, Mitch Lewis and McEvoy all pretty important players for the Dorks.
  25. The NAB League has gone into something of a recess for the coming few weeks to allow for players to represent their schools. What happens to the blue collar types who don’t go to the toffy schools in the APS and AGS?
