  1. Yep, that’s simply not good enough. What’s interesting is that the last two matches we’ve been in the green going into the final quarter but finished poorly. Gawn in the third, Trac at the start of the restart of the 4th, and Jackson soon after. Those are all pretty standard chances missed.
  2. I really hope a few of the players had this match circled on their calendar for a bit of revenge. We let them stay in it but some very questionable decisions gave them the chance as well. Hunt out - Hibbo in AVB out - Jones in Weid comes in if Tommy is still sore. Give the old warriors a bit of a chance to A: stake their claim and B: should injuries come it gives them valuable match practice.
  3. Extremely sad to hear, I hope no one publishes or retweets or gives this oxygen thief the pleasure of it getting any coverage other than to be very clearly told it's not on.
  4. I thought Melksham put his hand up for consideration for a finals spot yesterday. He didn’t have an amazing game but everything he did was positive. Brown coming into form for the finals could be one of the most important things for the club.
  5. I had to laugh hearing them boo the umpires at the end of the game, seriously they are in their own world over there. We got a bizarre 50m penalty that I still have no idea what it was for, but right at the end the umpires were plucking the free kicks out for them left, right, and centre.
  6. It’s (the goal kicking) disgraceful overall, not just in isolation of today. I’m bloody stoked with the performance and the win today, even with the fade out in extremely unusual conditions, I’m bloody proud of the boys. But why should I be happy about the FACT that yet again we failed to execute a fundamental skill of the game? We do that, ie Jackson slots his set shot or Petracca knocks out that shot at the start of the restart and it’s game bloody over. But we allowed West Coast to stay in the game, in the same way we allowed Adelaide to stay in the game, and Hawthorn. It also kicked us out of the game against the Dogs I’m super happy with the result tonight, be we need to effing work on our finishing off good work. It’s cost us in the H&A season, will you be content with it costing us in the finals? I agree the delay helped WC, no doubt on that. EDIT: Had to also mention Gawn’s miss from dead in front. For a ruck man that is actually pretty decent at field kicking his set shots are a complete lottery.
  7. Massive game from ANB, in his 100th game that was an absolute gem.
  8. Round 12 the last time we’ve scored more goals than behinds, it’s disgraceful from the club and I agree it will cost us something big if we don’t actually sort it out.
  9. Top 4 locked away, an away win in hostile conditions against West Coast, top of the table with two games to go. Can’t get much better than that! The players gave our fans a bloody big fright but we got the job done!
  10. Massive goal on HT from Kozzie, honestly didn’t think he had the legs!
  11. That is so soft.
  12. Not pretty but I’ll take a 14pt lead in Perth a quarter time any day. A bit more clinical finishing and we could be further in front.
  13. Great goal Trac!
  14. Bring finals pressure and we win. Simple as that.
  15. Hmmmm I would personally go with VDB in for TMac if there is the late change but I can see them giving Sam a go and give him simple instructions to get to as many contests as possible and bring it down to crumbers.
  16. Who are our emergencies? If TMac is out then there’s a school of thought to go smaller but then we also need those tall players to ensure the ball comes to ground.
  17. Against the bulldogs one of the big things that cost us dearly was we didn’t take our chances early. We had some relatively straight forward opportunities at goal that were missed while they pulled some flukey ones out their [censored]. Scoreboard pressure is the best kind of pressure. We get goals on the board it shuts up the crowd and builds confidence.
  18. Losing to the Giants isn’t as embarrassing as I think we felt it was at the time. When they’re on they can really mix it, for a soulless franchise they actually have some real ticker. I’m more annoyed about Adelaide (particularly as we really should’ve had the chance to snatch it/draw it) and Hawthorn.
  19. GMHBA would be the best result ever, where are the Giants keeping themselves? If it’s in the city’s west then it’s definitely handy for them and I know it will annoy Hardwick more.
  20. I’m always of the opinion you want to see the opposition have their best line up because you want the best competing against the best. So it’s really sad for Bruce and I hope he is able to recover from this knee injury.
  21. The treatment of Woey was a culture killer, I’ve got no doubt about that. It has shades of what the Pies have don’t to Trelor, but even worse was the way we went about it. No class at all from us.
  22. Massive day for the club, the opportunity to secure a top 4 spot with 2 rounds to go is an absolute rarity. I feel like WC will come with a bit of fire today, they will have copped it in the media and they have the luxury of a crowd (good luck to the Perth Demons flying the flag!). A big round of upsets, we have to be the ones to get the job done.
  23. This is the number one issue as to why it’s so frustrating with how good the bulldogs run is, it seems that whenever there is a 50/50 decision it goes their way. I don’t know how it happens and I’m not suggesting a deliberate plot by the umpires but it just seems to happen too much to ignore. For me both those decisions are stone cold HTB.
  24. Watch all the cats fans complain about the injuries and blame them for any dips in form, completely ignoring the fact their footy department made that choice to back in their ageing list.
  25. Ok the results this week make tomorrow MASSIVE for us. Being able to sew up top 4 AND go top of the table with 2 rounds left…please Melbourne just get the job done!
