If everyone was logged as being at the turnstiles and a subsequent COVID case is found that means quarantine/testing for the entire crowd. Individual QR codes for different areas allows for targeted tracing.
-
The QR code scanned at any event entry is usually specific to it's location and is time stamped and submitted directly to the DHHS.

Absolutely. Two of TMac's goals were ludicrous. A tight angle near the point post turned into a shot from almost right in front and what should have been a long bomb from an acute angle turned into a fairly straightforward shot from a 45 degree angle. The umpires need to be right on this one or, as others have suggested, perhaps east-west movement could be allowed for shots inside 50.

Fair point, ManDee but I generally try and stick to what I know. I imagine my point may have applied to the 50s, 60s and 70s but I've only seen limited footage of those games and would be speaking out of turn to reference them without any first hand knowledge. Take it as a humble admission that I know little about the game pre-1980.

He hits targets and sets up scoring opportunities. We complain about not being able to hit up players inside 50, then proceed to bash one of the few that does it consistently.
-
Surprisingly, our forward half play has been pretty efficient across the practice matches and round 1. If we can get our hands on the ball at stoppages, we should be able to kick the extra goals we need. It makes sense that Daw isn't ready. You don't just throw him in because he kicked a few in VFL practice matches. It has to be a little more nuanced than that.

Yep. I reckon Spargo is going to make a few around here eat their words. He does more with 5-10 possessions, than many can do with 40 possessions. It seems to be the same people complaining 'they bomb it in/don't lower their eyes', that dislike Spargo who seemingly never misses a target going inside 50.
-
Exactly, my thoughts. He hasn't lost anything in those 1v1 contests but yes, needs to be kept away from faster opponents.
-
Goodwin can be criticised for a few things but having a crack at him for not barracking while he coaches, is a bit unfair.
-
Yeah, I think that's the same report that referred to Matt Taberner as Matt Tavernor. I'm not sure the journo even has a passing interest in the game.
-
Yeah, I was shocked that his disposal efficiency was 80%. I wouldn't have had him in my top 10 on the field.
-
I'm comfortable with your analysis of every player apart from the above. This guy is the Energiser bunny - runs hard all day.
-
A cracking debut. Very close to BOG in the first half. He really is a two way player. Even when he was quiet, he'd bob up with a smother, tackle or shepherd. Here's hoping he can build on that.

6. May - Best defender going around 5. Lever - How blessed we are to have two mature, generals in the back half 4. Petracca - not his best game but made things happen 3. TMac - welcome back, legend 2. Spargo - when he touches it, we score 1. Jordon - was great around the ball but his 1%s were super important Honorable mention to Ed Langdon, the Energiser bunny.

Take a look at games from the 80s and 90s. The man on the mark didn't just stand there. They'd essentially hold the player for as long as they could to slow the game down. This is definitely a new rule.
-
This rule has certainly has achieved its intention but I'm not sure what to think at this stage. I'm probably in the minority though, in that I like the contested game and feel like most of the games this weekend have had a training drill vibe, at times. I enjoy watching teams try and unpick the congestion and the premium that puts on each goal. There's just something about taking it in turns of running end to end that doesn't appeal.
-
Yeah, surprised me too. I thought he had a rough game and couldn't believe he had that much of it at that efficiency.
-
A fair bit of love for Melksham. I'm not sure what we'd do with him. He ruins our balance in the forward half. Half back to replace Hunt who was a bit ordinary? Also, I thought Jetta was great today - what did I miss?
-
Max has set a ridiculous standard. We expected him to dominate today. He didn't and was a bit quiet but certainly didn't have a shocker.
-
Already a very handy player with just about as much upside as any player in the competition.
-
It's the balance of the forward line that worries me, BRFE. I love Jonesy but I can't think of another side that throws a slow, old bloke in its forward line. We play a forward half game style. We need to be overloading on small, fast blokes.
-
I feel this way about the the first 10 games of the year. If we can win 5 games without too many new injuries, I'll be somewhat confident, we can finish the season strongly with a forward line in place.
-
Absolutely gobsmacked that Chandler misses out.

The definition of a sniper. If he wore any other jumper, I'd be advocating jail time.

It's an impossible hypothetical to evaluate, so I'm not going to disagree but Richmond were all over Geelong in the second half. The result seemed inevitable. I'm not trying to suggest that match winners don't exist but that a team's overall performance isn't defined by one player. Without Dusty, Richmond would still be a very strong side.
