Overrated according to Clarkson when they were winning flags too.

That one still gives me the sheets. All the Hoo Ha about how they won it from 8th or whatever. Got lucky. They shoulda been out.

Carlton must just bleed watching him.

We shall see man. I do know what you mean about Dusty though. Reckon if he wasn't there they'd have none.

We ran into Hawthorn in '88. Essendon in 2000. Both the the dominant teams of those eras. I've had a premonition we're gonna meet Richmond. The dominant team of this one. Can feel it in my bones.

Yze Favourite For Pies Coach?
Still .... He'd be probably getting at least 300K for both. 6mths of the year off. No pressure, etc, etc.

Yze Favourite For Pies Coach?
Was listening to Lyon today on MMM. Is playing the Roos card. Saying he'll happily meet with them but not really interested. Working 7hrs a week special comments game days and another 6 for Talking Footy. I can't understand why any club would want him to be honest. Gets decent results but turns clubs unwatchable IMO.

Lets face it. Both these side have proved themselves recently. We are yet to do so.

Sure helps for my reasons above. Also helps when the rest of the competition is hobbled in the draft and you're cherry picking players chasing success from opposition clubs. Same goes for Geelong through the same time period.

Easier to be a genius when you pick up players like Franklin, Hodge, Roughead, Rioli, Lewis and Mitchell in successive drafts then have the rest of the competition hobbled by the expansion teams of GC and GWS while you're on top. I won't be convinced of his genius till he does it again. Either with Hawthorn or some other club.

The captain and the umpires
If the captain wasn't letting the umps know I'd be disappointed.

Demons & Blues Worlds Apart
I've got a Carlton supporting mate and often see his and other supporter posts on Carlton FB forums. Reminds me of ours here and on FB even as recently as last year. Hell, just gotta read the match day threads here now and people revert back quickly during games if things aren't going our way. Anyway, told him pretty much exactly what you stated when he wanted to get rid of the coach a month or so ago. Having said that. Long may they wallow down the bottom.

They're still coming.

Nathan Buckley Steps Down as Collingwood Coach
I don't mind listening to Buckley speak and have felt he'd be great in the media for years. The points you've made are quite valid regarding covid and the uncertainty of scheduling. Why would you wanna go through all that BS, work 11 and half months of the year and get grilled by the media parasites twice a week when you can kick back for 6mths of the year and do special comments for 2hrs twice a week for the other 6mths.

What they're saying down at Lulie Street
Reckon it would have been QB 2018 that De Goey tore us apart from the middle. Getting the ball and bursting clear with power. Remember thinking at the time that was exactly what we needed from Petracca.

University research on fans' views of racism in the AFL
My point is that no-one said anything about any of that sheet but you.

University research on fans' views of racism in the AFL
So who's rattling on about snowflakes etc??? Being thin skinned etc. I'll give you a hint ..... It's you.

University research on fans' views of racism in the AFL
Can't say I've heard any racism at the footy since Glen James was umpiring. Yes I've seen the Ph#. No, I've had no reason to use it.

Danger period lies ahead ...
No doubt we'll win some and we'll lose some over the rest of the season. But we just gotta make sure we beat forken Essendon. Hate them plicks with a passion.

Farewell Sam Weideman
Half the time Bradshaw was injured anyway.

Farewell Sam Weideman
The Weids been with the club 6 more years than Brown. Grown up playing with half the players in the side and have some good mates among them. I'm happy he's been given every chance to solidify his spot over the new grub. Be better for team dynamics if Weid holds his spot IMO.

Farewell Sam Weideman
Totally agree.

The MCG of the Desert
Saw it on the news tonight. Even choked up when I saw the melbourne jumpers. Great stuff.
