I hate how every montage we get shown displays how hopeless we were and how often we sheet the bed over the last 50yrs. Hopefully the narrative changes but doubt it will. We could win 4 on the trot and they'd still wanna talk about how sheet we were back in the day.

Swear to god they held the joint together during the middle of the season. The forwards weren't doing much but the opposition just couldn't get past May and Lever.

Yeah well .... The ones I speak to didn't see that coming at all. I laugh "Told ya we'd forken kill 'em." 😀 One bloke declared after the Prelim that we mighta played our GF already. "They'll never play that well again." To be picky they didn't but the Grand Final was a lot more explosive.

Certainly will be in our eyes anyway. Having said that ..... Both games and the Grand Final in particular were spectacular games Even the neutrals were blown away by the vulgar display of power football. And on a different tangent I reckon Petracca is one of those names like Jesalenko and Bususto back in the day. Could also see the call of "PETRACCA" getting some air time.

If there was a bitter rivalry it would have shown itself GF day on the ground. Never like McClure since I 1st laid eyes on him. Smug BS artist.

Whenever I thought about the GF in the 2weeks prior this is all I could see. These boys smashing the "bat deeper' Bulldogs mids. There was no way they were gonna cope with our power outta the middle. Then I'd think about the backs. Lever, May, Petty, Rivers, Hibberd were all gonna be too good for Naughton and Weightman. Then I'd go and think about the forwards. Brown, Fritta , Pickett, Tmac ...... Gawn. Easten Wood and his no-name mates were never gonna stop those boys. Wings .... Langers an Brayshaw relentlessly running up and down the ground. Gawd .... Then ANB, Sparrow, Harmes all chiming in. We was never gonna lose. My only surprise was the 2nd qtr. Never saw that coming at all.

I also find myself marvelling at Tracs ball handling skills from the middle. Look when he receives from Viney in Sparrows goal. Times his run to perfection .... And the receive ...... Beautiful.

Thought I was redlining when Sparrow kicked his. But then lost my forking mind 20secs later when Oliver drilled his. The boys were doin' it before my very eyes. Still shake my head about it all. Forking Legends.
