The forward line?

And great players/teams kick straight when it counts. We've got 3 forwards I'm reasonably confident they can kick a goal with a set shot. Petty, JVR and Melksham. Petty and Melk weren't there and JVR only gets it a couple times a game. Ever-one else including Fritta I'd rather not look they're kicking is so flakey.

Maynard does love the tough guy act but I don't think he's a "dirty player." Plays hard but fair. Much like our own Jack Viney who we love so much. Cox on the other hand is 100% a dirty player. Probably the dirtiest in the league along with Toby Greene. There was one reason he was selected and that was to drive his knees into Gawn as often as he could.

Salem played a great GF but my god he's overrated.

Heard a stat from some podcast during the week and the average contested mark stat per game per team is 5 ... Total. That's not just inside 50. Argument was put out there that maybe too much stock was put into contested marking forwards. And we know Goody is all about stats. All he cares about is that our forwards don't get outmarked.

Thankfully they did or I'd be in alot darker place right now. Throwing the toys from the cot in all directions. Probably good I've got a month off from work which means a month off from Collingwood supporters too.

It's always worse waking up the next morning and then realising that watching us spud it up in a final wasn't just a bad dream. Luckily I have experience dealing with such disappointments.

If that was Viney in Maynards shoes and got suspended I'd be fuming. Brayshaw took too long to kick it, Maynard tried to spoil and then protected himself on the way down. Split second stuff. Play on.

Making a habit of it.

That was sheethouse. Continuous long bombs into a crowded forward line and sheet kicking. I'm sure there'll be "learnings." But it won't be from the coach.

Not looking good folks. Gonna need some heroics from a few players here. Well some who can kick straight anyway.

The Melk has learnt over his career that AFL football can be a cruel game.

It was around this time when I chose Fork 'em as my Demonland name. Fork 'em all I say.

Reckon our numbers are inflated by opposition supporters TBH. And yes we get some [censored] venues but we also get ANZAC Eve and Kings Birthday. Opposition pleb clubs would kill for those games.
