Jetta: Unfinished Business
There were a couple of sliding door moments early in that game that I wonder if they had've gone our way if things would've been different. Captain Nietz took a couple of strong marks close to goal within the 1st few minutes of that game when it was at its hottest. Kicked 2 points. Ball goes up the other end, Essendon captain Hird takes a mark around CHF. Kicked truly and they were away with their tails up. Also the fact that we seemed totally unprepared for the physical onslaught that was dished out to our young players early. We should have been prepared for this as they had beaten us up for the previous 6-8 years. And this was a GF. Anyhoo, lets hope its us with the mongrel for the next 10 years.

Jetta: Unfinished Business
I wish Neitz had said we had unfinished business on the GF dais in 2000 instead of hoping we could get back there one day and give it another crack.

Harmsey Ready to Wreak Havoc Again
Harmes will be a gun. And he bleeds Red and Blue like few others. Living our dreams, playing for the club he supported as a kid. Knows the heartache we've all been through. Fast becoming one of my favourites.

Sam Weideman + contract
He doesn't have to be star. Just play his role. Target would be a couple goals a game this early on.
-
Sam Weideman + contract
This is a young hungry squad that appear to be genuinely enjoying their footy together ATM. Reckon he'll stay till we have at least 3 flags.

Sam Weideman + contract
I remember one of the training staff labelling him a "Natural Born Killer" due to his attack on the ball in marking contests. Can bang 'em from outside fiddy like a proper power forward too..

Sam Weideman + contract
No doubt we're starting to mobilise but we're a hell of along way off being a power club. That game was 12yrs of pent up frustration released and we were all there to blow the roof of our own dung heap right off.

Jack Watts video
Well he provided me with more WTF moments than highlights that's for sure.

Hawthorns been a top 4 club for over 10years. Who do ya think Watts would have forced from the side? As soon as Watts shirked contact and ducked his head in a marking contest that would've been it. Clarkson would've traded him to us for a couple top10 picks and 800k a year. Having said that. I doubt Roos would've wanted him but Neeld would've snapped him up..

Kobe Farmer
Maybe , maybe not. Many of us still loved the Wiz, even after he left. He obviously still loves the club. And on a different note. I hold Jack and Todd Viney in the highest regard for their early commitment to the cause during the "basket-case level shyteness circa 1014/1014"

If he'd gone to Hawthorn he would've only got a handful of games. If you don't put you're head over the ball and go when it's your turn, Clarko doesn't play you.

Tomas Bugg Announces Retirement
Loved the Bugg. Reckon he lifted the players around him when he was running around the packs giving cheek. Every club need those types.

Weids ready to grab opportunity with both hands
I'll be far more confident when the Weed has a set shot at goal than Hogan. He'll be walking in holding the ball on the correct side of his body for a start. Who knows, he might even bang a few from outside fiddy as a true power forward should. And as a couple posters have alluded to above. I can't remember a single big tackle from Hogan but I remember several from Weideman. Weed showed he's got all the tools in the Geelong final with sure hands, good disposal by both hand and foot, can clunk the big mark and kick the pressure goals. With another pre-season under his belt and the confidence boost from his game in the final, we'll have a forken ripper.

Weids ready to grab opportunity with both hands
I've never seen Geelongs prised midfield just absolutely beaten up like they were that night. Danger, Selwood, Ablett and Duncan just physically smashed. Never been prouder as a melbourne supporter.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Heard a similar tale about a year ago at a bad bus accident which caught fire. Older generation running around trying to help the injured while the "Me Generation" filmed with their phones.

Sandgropers are a strange lot.

Origins/meanings of Display Names?
Fork 'em cause I hate every other club out there. I think we were also getting screwed by the AFL in regards to tanking at the time. Something half a dozen other clubs had done before us.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
For years Ross Lyon has been carping on to the media how the Dockers just need 2-3 more goals a game. Here's his chance. Stop BSing and pay up.

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
And undisciplined.
