  1. No doubt we're starting to mobilise but we're a hell of along way off being a power club. That game was 12yrs of pent up frustration released and we were all there to blow the roof of our own dung heap right off.
  2. Count me in please. Mick - Kung Fu Pandas
  3. Well he provided me with more WTF moments than highlights that's for sure.
  4. Hawthorns been a top 4 club for over 10years. Who do ya think Watts would have forced from the side? As soon as Watts shirked contact and ducked his head in a marking contest that would've been it. Clarkson would've traded him to us for a couple top10 picks and 800k a year. Having said that. I doubt Roos would've wanted him but Neeld would've snapped him up..
  5. Maybe , maybe not. Many of us still loved the Wiz, even after he left. He obviously still loves the club. And on a different note. I hold Jack and Todd Viney in the highest regard for their early commitment to the cause during the "basket-case level shyteness circa 1014/1014"
  6. If he'd gone to Hawthorn he would've only got a handful of games. If you don't put you're head over the ball and go when it's your turn, Clarko doesn't play you.
  7. Loved the Bugg. Reckon he lifted the players around him when he was running around the packs giving cheek. Every club need those types.
  8. I'll be far more confident when the Weed has a set shot at goal than Hogan. He'll be walking in holding the ball on the correct side of his body for a start. Who knows, he might even bang a few from outside fiddy as a true power forward should. And as a couple posters have alluded to above. I can't remember a single big tackle from Hogan but I remember several from Weideman. Weed showed he's got all the tools in the Geelong final with sure hands, good disposal by both hand and foot, can clunk the big mark and kick the pressure goals. With another pre-season under his belt and the confidence boost from his game in the final, we'll have a forken ripper.
  9. Full game. Just does not get old ? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GDRDtbQeo8Xgc1tpxOLWHhFYP8inGKbE/view?fbclid=IwAR3RMPQ8fdjrf0Tamv4e6mGykQk8fDSmX4x8SFA_clfHOeIUL9xCopv5dbI
  10. I've never seen Geelongs prised midfield just absolutely beaten up like they were that night. Danger, Selwood, Ablett and Duncan just physically smashed. Never been prouder as a melbourne supporter.
  11. I can smell what the WEEEEEDs cookin'. And it's gonna be tasty.
  12. Tiny Pinky ? One things for sure. Max will find it a tougher gig at training from now on. Pruess looks a monster.
  13. Heard a similar tale about a year ago at a bad bus accident which caught fire. Older generation running around trying to help the injured while the "Me Generation" filmed with their phones.
  14. Sandgropers are a strange lot.
  15. Fyfe also lost considerable time due to the dirty plick Sam Mitchell using he knees during his many "clumsy' tackling attempts.
  16. Fork the cherry pickers, and their arrogant forken supporters. I also hope Scullys forked and O'meara struggles for the rest of his career. I was at the 87' prelim, the '88 GF and work with several whorethorne supporting flogs. Yeah I've got issues.
  17. Wasn't long after Crown opened and I saw Tingay and Lovett in one of the bars. Not wanting to intrude I just nodded at Tingay to acknowledge him and he blew me off. Arrogant plick I thought. Also bought a footy jumper from Robbie Flower at his sports store in Waverly Gardens back in the day. And 1 from my brother who was doing security at Hallam hotel who punched on with Mark Jackson after he'd retired one night. Said it was the hardest he'd been hit at the time.
  18. Was Maloney relieving himself in the ashtray?
  19. Fork 'em cause I hate every other club out there. I think we were also getting screwed by the AFL in regards to tanking at the time. Something half a dozen other clubs had done before us.
  20. For years Ross Lyon has been carping on to the media how the Dockers just need 2-3 more goals a game. Here's his chance. Stop BSing and pay up.
  21. Took the kids to the toilet at qr time just after he kicked the goal after the siren. Pumped up demon supporters had the low rumbling "Weeeeed" call going the tunnels around the food halls etc. Great stuff. The joint was alight.
  22. The plot thickens. Angus to meet with Gaff during the week. A hand shake , no hard feelings ...... See ya at the Demons for pre-season.
  23. If he anything he's cool under pressure and often makes good decisions when the heats on. The rest ...... Been there, done that and don't care no more.
