Took my young bloke for a haircut this morning. Sitting there waiting for the completed job and eavesdropping on another hairdressers conversation with her cuttee. "Did ya watch the footy yesterday?" "I reckon Melbourne choked." "I feel sorry for their supporters." There was no "But their 1st 2 wins were good." Massive game, everyone watching. And we carped ourselves again. Bigtime. This is what people remember.

A collingwood supporter clown at work has been telling me for weeks that he'd had a premonition and it was gonna be Melbourne/Collingwood GF, ........ "And we're gonna break ya hearts." Well we showed him. We broke our own hearts. As usual.

I'm dreading listening to that borish forken Collll iinnngg woooood chant and I know plenty of Collingwoods supporters who will be unbearable if they win. And I don't know a solitary Weagle supporter so .......... I'm avoiding all media and will find something else to do next saturday. Just as I have since the cats and dawks continued to cherrypick their way to flags. Thankfully I have the next 2 weeks off work.

Also said to the same mate after he said Collingwood played their GF last night. "We've been playing GFs for a month."

C'mon man. Not only beaten. But humiliated from the opening minutes. You might be pleased. But I'm not. Said to a mate before the game who'd been telling me we'd kill WC and then Collingwood next week. Big carrot today with Collingwood blowing this premiership race wide open last night.

The year wasn't that great and todays performance was typical MFC. Winning a couple finals was nice though with the Melbourne crowd at the Elimination final a highlight. Exceeded my expectations.
