  1. Especially shocked and disgusted by the vitriol on here tonight. You'd think we just lost by 187 points. All the fair weather supporters can f%$k off. Microwave your memberships and go and support Tassie.
  2. That took me back to the bad old days of Subiaco oval. Eagles with their old brigade fit and firing and Waterman and Reid playing out of their skin aren't a bad side tbh. It's a long season. Go Dees
  3. Went to the open training today. Some observations to repay the usual track watchers. Roo was out early getting put through his paces with Selwyn, clearly getting his match loads in. Maysie also out early (before the rest of the group) but didn't look like anything else than wanting an extra few kicks. Light session as would be expected and I imagine the drills were all the usual captains run fare. Boys looked sharp. All the guns were classy and Taj Woewodin stood out to me (first time seeing him live) and Kossie and Shane Mc didn't miss anything in front of the sticks. Lots of goal kicking to close out. The team were very generous with their time after. Lots of happy kids getting autographs and selfies. All the players were great but isn't Ben Brown just the nicest bloke on the planet? Had genuine interactions with every child he spoke with. Impressive bloke, and looked in great touch too. the session was the most player interaction I've had since the old Dinner with the Dees nights back in the Dean Bailey/Chris Connoly days. Bring on the game tomorrow. Pumped
  4. This is MFCSS in match review form. We'll control the game and win by anywhere between 20 and 120 points Go dees
  5. Keen to see Shane debut. Go well!
  6. @WalkingCivilWar do you have any inside gossip on whether they're training in WA this time around? My 5 yr old son is super hyped to see the dees so I'm keen to hear about any opportunities there might be for player interaction. How early before bounce down do the players usually warm up before heading back down the race? Cheers.
  7. Only have ourselves to blame.
  8. Minimal changes. Almost glad we got stung, as WCE aren't easy beats. With a bit of fire in the belly from that 1st quarter I'm feeling less MFCSS around the fixture. I'll be in the crowd
  9. What a win. No ceiling on what can be achieved with this squad
  10. Fantastic interview Andy 👌
  11. Keen to get the panels view on the season to date. I'm happy sitting 5-2, but realise we have a tough little block coming up. Whilst our form hasn't been our best in everygame, our results have been about as good as I would have hoped for. Losses to Sydney at the SCG and Brisbane aren't cause for dismay IMO. I think we'll learn alot about where we are at over the next 2-3 weeks, but I am continually frustrated by the posters on demonland and various social media platforms that seem to expect champagne football every week. A win is a win at this stage of the season IMO
  12. Hows all the 'supporters' hand wringing at half time like the world was ending. Turn off your phones in future. Walked it in. Valuable experience for a heap of the young guys infront of a big crowd. No doubt room for improvement but bank the wins and keep working to get better
  13. Love the pod, and especially love the annual chat around loading/tapering/sports science. Mainly because it has me challenging my own view of elite sports and training. Binmans logic is sound and ready for a challenge as usual, its round 5, not round 15! No doubt we're fatigued from a number of highly intense, contested games. But I couldn't get on board with any of the suggestion that 'maybe' we decided to put additional load into the players. We had an off game. We went in sore and tired - we carried too many half fit guys into the game and lost Salem early. Up against last year's runners up who are starting to hit their stride after a shortened preseason. That's the analysis imo. Additional loads? Yeah, nah.
  14. Hate the fair weather posters on demonland. It's April. Crack and beer and relax Felt like a 122 point loss. Was only 22 in the end. Rest up boys and put in a better showing on Anzac eve
  15. All I'll say I'd that 3 games in 13 days is showing. Banged up players ready for the bye. Won't pot the players but looking for a big response on Anzac eve
  16. Um

Interestingly I read this OP before listening to this week's pod, and still didn't have an issue. Anyone referencing stats whilst waxing lyrical on the subject is going to be prone to the odd pause or 'um', and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it imo. Binman is the messiah of Demonland (just wait for the mid season loading/tapering prophecy). Jog on son!
  17. Hoping for a week or 2 downgraded to a fine. If Sicily got off, there is a glimmer of hope
  18. Loving the pod again this year gents. When the crows were making a charge late all of the banter from last weeks match review around MFCSS and the 5 day break were ringing in my ears. Gutsy in the end from the boys, carn you Demons. Keen to see what Binmans analysis of the stats looks like. Lots of low numbers and down performances but ultimately got it done.
  19. What a trip for the club. Take the points and get the hell out of there! Strange night on the stats sheet again. Lots of players down on numbers. Got it done though
  20. Fantastic result. Loved maxys presser and commented RE expected score etc. Benny Brown doesn't look like he needs a rest imo. No change! Although i guess the FD might want to risk May to play on Tex who is their Talisman
  21. About 10 minutes into the game I was completely relaxed, knowing we'd win by 5+ goals. Opposition coaches are scared to kick the ball long and risk turnover to Gawn, May and Lever. I hadn't seen such spineless ball movement since the Neeld era Demons. Question is, does the panel think teams will move the ball with more confidence against a side missing Lever and May? I'm quietly confident that we have the depth to cover them, I'd probably favour Petty going back with Thommo and TMac. Same Forward line as round 1 should be ok
  22. Either way I'm pretty confident in the squads ability to cover 2 of the best backmen Ive seen in our colours..... Which I almost can't believe is possible to say
  23. Salem just makes me smile everytime he gets near it. Under rated for his toughness imo. Gave out some bruising hits today
  24. Great to see two much maligned players (BBBB and TMac) play solid games. Proof that you should never write anyone off
