I find it funny how many people on dl constantly point out how useless stats are. Probably the same people who yell 'just kick it' at the footy all day like it is still 1981. You only have to listen to coaches post match pressers or even those in match on ground chats to get a sense of how important stats in their totality (as opposed to isolated stats) are to clubs. Clubs that pay big dollars for the data, the software to analyse it and employees to pore over their and other clubs stats.

From the article: 'The combination of Daniher's stunning MND advocacy, the traditional public holiday and the ladder predicaments of both sides have made 2017 one of the biggest Queen's Birthday games in recent memory.' Ladder predicaments of both sides? Both knocking on the door of the top 8 with a win putting them in it? Thats the sort of predicament dees and pies fan can only dream off. That's what happens when you cut 80% of your subbies

Idd add that there is another link as to why it makes sense for him to pop up on a demons fan forum. Like dees fans elliot was a tortured soul who yearned for release. Like the dees capable of so much beauty but also crushing pain

I like him as a player. Clever. Reads the play really well. Hes kicking hasnt been as good this year for some reason but he is a good kick. Love that he is a lefty
-
Amazing they picked him really. I dont understand it. I mean they could have played wagner. I guess the coaching staff reckon he goes ok. What would they know. Surwly when a ruck comes back next week he'll be dropped
-
Agree. We will be too fierce for them
-
Serious question - and just asking for an opinion, not inside info, but do you think Hoges will play against the doggies?
-
Wagner needn't worry, one can only assume given how poor Omac was apparently last game that he will go out

What happened?

Well the article on the website says this: Goodwin said key forward Jesse Hogan was close to returning to the track. “We said at the start that it was going to be four to eight weeks. He’s not that far away, but he’s now got to get some training into him and we’ll assess him week-by-week,” he said. Close to returning to the track could mean the session on Saturday. Four to eight weeks away? - Monday is 4 weeks. He's not that far way? Speaks for itself. Monday is certainly not that far away. Get some training into him on Saturday and assess him. He's going to play! Hogan is going to play! Great foxing!

Has he? Source (please don't say Ding)? Link?
-
Ta. That's interesting. I thought for sure they would play him
-
When? Where? Link?

Unlikely to play easter monday.

That might be an idea for the dees' banner ADAMS IS NOT THE SHARPEST TOOL IN THE MAGPIE SHED WHICH IS SAYING SOMETHING GIVEN HOW MANY TOOLS THEY HAVE IN THEIR SHED

Love it GNF. I can feel the angst from the non believers bubbling away as we speak (figuratively speaking, so to speak). Won't be long before the angst spills onto DL. Start him dees. Great foxing. And if they don't, still great foxing and you still have me on your side GNF.

One of the great reggae songs

Spencer will play. Absolutely no doubt.

Perhapa we can say it is our first semi final

No. In fact gawn out for us is way bigger. For a start hw is critically from a structural point of view. Pendles is not. Also gawn was an aa lock. Pendles wont make the squad. Tell your friend to do the math

Agree. Which is another reason i am confident of a win. As i said before the suns game we will beat any team who can't match or exceed our intensity. North did and won. I knew Suns couldn't and we on. I don't think the Pies will be able, partly because of the reasons i set out before but also because i don't think they can match us in that department for a whole game. I also reckon that unlike North that don't really have the scoring power to hurt us in the periods when they have the momentum.

Agree, arguably their most important player. Wells out robs them of a bit of class as well. Sounds as if Goldsack is definitely out as well. Leaving aside my obvious subjectively, if you look at this game objectively it sets up very well for a win for the dees, and possibly a big win. Collingwood are a youngish side, travelling back from WA (albeit with an 8 day break), have some key injuries, have been 'up''for a few weeks and playing on emotion and are coming off a tough game where they played a man short for a big chunk of that time and expended a lot of emotional energy. Collingwood are also probably looking forward to the bye to freshen up, whilst we are coming off a bye and should be fresh. You'd think that the big crowd and big occasion of Freeze 3 at the G will help them avoid a sluggish start. Added to that, yes they are coming off three wins in a row but all all against pretty average sides. If we get going early i can see us winning pretty well. I haven't looked at the line yet but if i was setting it i would have it as the dees +27. I just checked the line is at +8 so great value in my opinion as is the +40 at 4.50

Fanatastic stuff Ash. Some great memories there. You are an honorary dee i'm afraid. Have you made a similar EFC compilation? If i may offer one possible improvement, it would be great to have text with the the year and round for each goal.
