  1. My mail is that Jobe is fit to play, but they are not sure if they should rest him for another week to be safe.
  2. I wouldn't be happy if I hadn't been selected yet for a run in the seniors all year...
  3. Yeah there is some risk there. But hell surely he will provide more than Spencer did in 2009
  4. I agree wth you point here. I've been happy with Stef's progress this year but he still has a ways to go. Part of me thinks this article is just about desperately trying to highlight some positives amongst the general gloom following last Friday night (and since the capitulation to North, West Coast, hell most of the season really)
  5. Wasn't there a game under Daniher when the guys came out trying to play 'unsocialable' football following some similar comments being made about their lack of mongrel? Pretty sure we lost that game...
  6. Collingwoods poor performance in the 2003 grand final under Malthouse is also a bit of a question mark for me. Perhaps Roos' decision to rush the field in a kids game shows he still has a burning passion for the game!?
  7. There could be some nostalgia for Malthouse to return to the dogs if Eade goes, but I would assume they would face the same financial contrainsts as us to get the deal done.
  8. I would love to see these stats. Having walked on the surface late last year I can tell you it felt rock hard underfoot. So much harder than a suburban oval (can't say I've walked on the MCG since I was 6 years old though) However this was in November at a graduation ceremony so its likely that they let the ground harden up for such events.
  9. Yeah I agree the club has some good structures in place to suppor the indigenous players but they can only do so much.
  10. It would be nice to see the same passion for the club shown on Demonland replicated on the footy field week in week out.
  11. It is a real shame but not unexpected given the circumstances. I hope he does return at some time in the future because I would be concerned that it could potentially effect Jurrah's performance and commitment to his footy career as well, given how much they enjoy playing together.
  12. "I heard some guy got killed in New York City and they never solved the case. But you wouldn't know anything about that now, would you, Tom?" "But there are hundreds of unsolved murders in New York City." "You don't know when to keep your mouth shut, do you, Scully Boy?"
  13. For a moment I was excited thinking he was talking about the Essendon game!
  14. Maybe he's just like me and thinks Twitter is a crock of Sh!t...he should stick to Demonland!
  15. Herald Sun summed it up well: Clash with Melbourne gives Essendon a great chance to restore confidence after the bye...
  16. Well said. With a full list we might have challenged them but hard to have much confidence based on our performances this season. I don't think last years win over them can't be used as much of an indicator of our chances either. But having said that I always maintain some hope and optimism heading into games at the 'G.
  17. With St Kilda dominating the first half against the Dockers in Freo - after looking fairly shaking at times against us last week but still getting the job done - you have to wonder whether there really is something about teams or players (e.g Goddard) seemingly hitting some form after playing MFC?
  18. Based on last nights game I would be advocating for making the zone illegal. Felt like watching a soccer match at times. Otherwise they need go reduce the number of players on the ground...
  19. In the case of the MFC, more of a sleeping donkey..
  20. Why isn't Bailey one of the Outs yet? Oh wait...
  21. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/another-demon-to-debut-20110526-1f5by.html
  22. One spark can start a prarie fire! While I don't expect an immediate impact from Scully I can only hope his return (whether this week or the next) can trigger a turnaround in a fortunes this year ...
  23. It would certainly go a long way towards us being more competitive and getting a decent share of the clearances thats for sure.
