He looks tall doesn’t he! I thought he’d be a winger, but does he have 3rd tall height? I did my own “research”. Adem is 187 and Noah in photos is taller than his dad. So yes is the answer.

I was hoping #3 was Brown but worried it was Lorenz. My take away so far (watching on and off) is that his tank seems to be much more developed than the other mids and seems to be ready to “hunt” it more than others. I thought Oakleigh’s clearance game suffered when he wasn’t in there. I thought #15 was a top ager (Yze is bottom age). His kicking and vision are afl level and while skinny, he looks like he stands up to the older boys. I also thought you could see he has been in a program (or at least his dad is coaching him). His half forward running is fantastic. Up and down a lot of unrewarded running and doesn’t get sucked into the content. Set up a beautiful goal before half time where he ran into space, lost his man, and instead of blazing for goal he put a pass out in front of Oakleighs key forward who had no choice but to run to the ball as it “Drew” him in. It’s only one half - but if I was picking players I would want to be drafted to Melbourne - they’d be in my top 5 I’ve seen today.

Thanks mate - do you know what numbers they are?

Where did you find the replay? I’ve been looking for it. Thanks!

I thought it was his marking rather than his kicking. But I also haven't seen the points today, so they could just be hard shots.

I Guess this is why JVR went to the ruck.

Plays tomorrow - named on the ball.

How was that a Gawn 3rd goal? I though spargo kicked it into the post?

Welcome to Demonland Oliver Sestan
Dee-licious replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
A 186cm power forward who looks up to Dustin Martin and Christian Petracca, Sestan had been part of the Oakleigh Chargers NAB League talent program at under-14 and under-15 level. AFL Rookie Draft 2022: All the latest news, every pick and possible pick-ups -
Sen? Or fox? Would love to listen.

Which Demon is the most likely to have a breakout year in 2023?
Dee-licious replied to Chelly's topic in Melbourne Demons
We talk about third year and fourth year breakouts. So Kozzie (could go AA?), Rivers, and Bowey would be the safest bets? JVR, Chandler, Laurie all would be great for obvious reasons. -
Welcome to Demonland Kyah Farris-White

We can have 3 Cat B rookies -
As a positive - Port have 0 currency next year - so there goes that move for them.

11 games to JVR 18. Yes probably should have cracked the top 10, but it’s 60% more games.

Hutchison might be unpalatable, but he’s made a mint trading on ex afl players getting paid a livable wage to talk trash. it’s genius and I’m sad I didn’t think of it. Some are on contract and some are being paid to be in there. If you’ve got someone on contract and there is no football to cover, why not make them do work rather than sit around. and we all buy into it because fox footy runs headlines on it, so does the sun and then afl.com.au. It’s a brilliant scam.

Been an ok game for his so far. He is on the “other” wing and playing fairly wide. Has run all day and has good acceleration. I don’t think he does much unrewarded running though. He doesn’t strike me as a winger - more an actual midfielder. He loves the dont argue and does take the game on. Good decision maker and yes his kicking might need a bit of work (but the kicking today has been horrid). Absolutely will be drafted, no question there. But is feeling a second rounder. I think that maybe at Oakleigh he’ll be able to show his strengths in and under next year, but this role is not doing him any favours.

Rumour alert: Liam Henry is in melbourne hanging out with Clarry!!!!

Heard the same yesterday as well. Would not have played if it was home and away.

Ran all day and got into good defensive spots. It didn’t go to his wing. Great tank considering he was out for a lot of the season. Didn’t disgrace himself, the ball just didn’t get to him as he kept his width.

Or a trade up with a couple of our thirds for the Dons 22 which is going to be taken up by Davey anyway.

I think we will have a much better idea what we want to do with it after the grand final. If Kynan Brown has a day out in the U17 game, our first rounder might not be useful for us.

It was great to watch and we really were a level above the lions. The young kids do look really good. JVR and Bowey look like they will slot right in round 1 next year. TMac will be good back in the seniors and if Tomlinson and Dunstan are required they’ll be fine. Smith is working back nicely and I can see why they want him around. If he could have a good run at it, who knows. Chandler and Bedford have something about them, but need a role. AMW is the real surprise packet for me. I’ve liked what he’s done, but today was a little different. Just looked like he could change a game if needed. It makes me wonder, his background is NT Thunder. I just wonder what it would have been like if he was at a Brighton Grammar and had regular coaching, routines, etc. The talent is clearly more than we see in most draftees, looking forward to seeing him another year in the system. Could be anything.

Ah, TMac can play next week in the VFL. He hasnt played seniors since Round 10 - hence before July 1. He is eligible - how lovely :)
