  1. … …. or preferably relocated ( or to use a 18th century English judicial term, transported) to van Diemans Land.
  2. Thanks for posting, dazzle. As Biff alluded to, this is just amazing stuff from a small forward relatively new to AFL level. Somewhere I saw a comparison with Cyril and Eddie at the same stages of their careers, and Kozzie is well ahead of them. His goal sense and breakaway speed, and reading of the fall of the ball is something rarely seen. Broooose would be drooling over his every moment.
  3. Unsubstantiated ABC lead denigration of a fine Australian who actively promoted aboriginal sportsmen, and according to other sources was not even close to the area of the massacre. It is part of the ABC agenda to make out that Australia (and the USA for that matter) is a fundamentally racist white supremisist misogynistic homophobic society.
  4. Mature mindset and body - and will get better.
  5. I was wondering the same thing. Anyone in the inner sanctum of the club have any comment? I am sure that most here would love to hear what RDB has to say.
  6. Norm Smith I believe created the term for Ron Barassi in the mid to late 1950s. I believe that Jackson has the raw talent to (almost) become RDB’s equal ….and just how exciting would that be?? PS sign him up for10 years, now.
  7. My eye started watering at the Sparrow goal, the second in the Q3 final minute blitzkrieg. Although there was still plenty of time, I though ā€œI reckon we have got thisā€! 🄲
  8. I haven’t seen him so can you elaborate on what aspects are his upside? Spargo tackles fiercely, and 2021 kicked a lot better than I expected. Is he taller? A better mark? Similarly, for those who have viewed Chandler, how and where does he compare, and differ? Thanks
  9. Interesting thought, who would we play on him? Of course would depend very much upon who else we had to cover, but maybe May or Hibbo? Very difficult match up. He should go into 2022 full of confidence and self belief.
  10. Interesting fact (presumably correct) on the podcast, sadly, no premiership (possibly even no GF) side has ever played all together in subsequent years. I could envisage our 22 running around together again, but sustained success requires refreshment. And of course, a good supply of ā€œfringeā€ players.
  11. That is how we succeed : strangle like a boa constrictor then slice up like Jack the Ripper But didn’t Jacko announce himself. An extra 100k on his next contract - and I hope they sign him up for a decade really soon. And that would cost them their liquor license and thus their business. Hope they think it was worthwhile Did you mean condemn? And a lot of those were throws, unpenalised. Once the cake was iced I stopped yelling about them but when the game was on I was getting very angry.
  12. Clarry for NS medal 2022, Jack 2023, Tom 2024, Jacko 2025 šŸ’™ā¤ļø
  13. Magnificent fitness management. Flying start to the year, mid year mini slump, then the run home absolutely unprecedented. ā¤ļøšŸ’™ā¤ļøšŸ’™
  14. Tom looks to be completely at ease and ready to go in the biggest game of the year. Looking forward to watching him develop further over the next decade.
  15. Hope so. Stuffed back as far as I know.
  16. #11, Max Gawn, MFC's latest Premiership Captain, says hi With the delisting for Bradke he would more than likely fill his list spot, possibly with more prospect of success. It is essential that Gil and his henchmen ensure that there is a viable Victorian second tier competition, without the need for interstate travel, for 2022, to give a far better chance of development for all fringe listed players. 2020 and 2021 were unmitigated disasters for these players. WAFL and SANFL look after their own - frankly the Sydney and SE Queensland teams can no longer be allowed to drag our teams down ... were there 22 clubs in the VFL this year? Complete farce.
  17. Should have called up the Carlton doc - he would also say Max has "delayed concussion" thanks to the little dwarf who slammed his head into the concrete. Would have cost him 6 weeks for next season. Still, it may have helped fire us up for the unbelievable onslaught.
  18. Three finals. Three big wins. By an average of over 10 goals. Must be a new record. All by ā€œa team with a dysfunctional forward lineā€.
  19. I got a similar one early in the last quarter from another gentleman and good friend Doggies long term member ā€All over. Well played and well done to the Dees. Enjoy the celebrations. Worthy premiersā€
  20. And nothing at all about the sling tackle by Daniels on Gawn. Could have KOd him. Not even a bloody free.
  21. That may be underrating Luke Jackson’s amazing contribution in that turnaround period. His centre ruck work was absolutely awesome and his second efforts just unprecedented. Sign him up now for the next decade.
  22. My heart being 57 years older than last time, I don’t know that it would have lasted the tension of the last one in 64 with the last minute 4 point win with the winning goal by a back pocket straying, against coach’s orders, to the half forward line. The 56, 57 and 60 teams were also etched into my memory but it is so hard to compare eras. That said the current mob look pretty complete and superbly fit.
  23. Agree that the ā€œstandard published statsā€ suggest he did very little but there were numerous pressure moments and shepherds that are available to some that no doubt show things differently. Sure, by his standards, he may have had a quiet one, but he still did the team things and absolutely helped get us there. About to watch the full replay again.
