  1. Jackson has done ok for a kid
  2. He looks as if heā€™s carrying the weight of the world
  3. They are killing us in the clearances and waltzing the ball out of our forward line.
  4. Forward half goals from intense pressure to keep the ball in. Seriously. Thatā€™s the plan. Background articles by Robbo and Jake Niall. I wish those on charge would talk much less. We are all SICK OF IT.
  5. ANB having a really good day
  6. ANB has done ok
  7. Score now reflecting reality
  8. If we keep playing like this, donā€™t be fooled by a last quarter rally when the dogs have put the queue in the rack. This is awful.
  9. We are being run over. They are front and Centre, have better skills and are killing us around clearances. I know we are playing plenty of young ones. if the plan is to score forward half goals, someone hasnā€™t read the script. No ball retention in the forward half.
  10. TMac jogging. 1 1 7 (us) 1 2 8
  11. Early turnover. Goal.
  12. Highlight so far: umpires having practice whistle blowing. And silly walk practice running
  13. First time at the footy for a looong time. Feels great. Some things never change (cost of chips at Etihad/Marvel/whatever, Maxyā€™s ball drop). Saw Rivers and Lockhart doing kick to kick. Instead of just kicking straight to the other (plenty of that, amazing skills, training the house down etc) they faced at right angles to the other and ā€œran back off the markā€, turned 90 degrees and kicked to the other. interesting drill, an example of deliberative practice. Wonder if Chocko had a hand in that?
  14. The clever rolling kick from the back pocket to Harmes on Queen's Birthday. Harmes -> Watts -> glory!
  15. Wonder how Goodwin will cope with that clear signal?
  16. duplicate deleted
  17. You mean if a finals spot is on the line, they really try very hard to win? Do you think that would have helped us in 2017 and this year?
  18. May should be captain, I reckon. Love Max, but May looks like a natural leader.

Stephen May is the best leader we have had for a long time. We donā€™t want instability in the formal leadership positions, but how do we get the maximum value from his leadership?

Agree with all of that except the last sentence
  21. any evidence for that? PCR is pretty reliable...
  22. May and Trak. they are leaders
  23. Brayshaw out with ā€œfoot ligamentā€ ugh
  24. Couldn't agree more. Said so a while back. He is a very good footballer, hates losing, leads the backline, provides feedback, and is a mean SOB. Viney to the forward pocket, Max - recover from the knee, Harmes and Angus to the midfield. OMac never again. TMac probably never again.
  25. May for Captain please and Goodwin has made a move.
