spoke to one of the attendants here. 20k is their expected. no one one other than yours truly in the top deck. not another soul! plenty of room for expression!

I wasn’t there and couldn’t watch it online. I wonder about the influence of Melksham on our forward line. I reckon he’ll be a very good coach one day. Maybe even is one already?
  4. I noticed that after TMac kicked that ripper goal on the run, he sprinted off in celebration, and from what I could see on the Teev, didn’t acknowledge the pass from Tholstrup. Sure, I might be over-interpreting it, but I didn’t like it.
  5. and who did Long coat hanger and hospitalise in the 2000 grand final. only Schwartz remonstrated.
  6. the loss of burgess has had a seriously negative effect on our performance
  7. Goodwin press conference: Inconsistency is the issue. Nothing to do with personnel. I reckon consistency is the new learnings. (Sure, never gives anything away at the press conference. I get that - but that loss (second shocker in 3 weeks) needed a bit more, I reckon)
  8. WC very good MFC not very good Work to do by everyone coaches and players Nothing of value - but there never is in Goodwin's press conferences, and I can understand why. Incredibly frustrating, but why would he give anything to a pack of hyenas?
  9. that’s how teams beat us pre Yze. now we beat ourselves
  10. everyone knew how to beat the old melbourne- outside run and don’t commit too many to the contest. the new melbourne is harder to beat, so we helpfully do that ourselves with lousy score return on forward entries. When do we think about a change of forward coaching personnel. Everyone knows it’s a pattern. everyone knows that’ if it’s fixed, we win big. it’s been happening for years.
  11. me too. humble pie for dinner
  12. was tmac now judd mcv
  13. i’m not sure it’s even a good short term idea. he’s getting killed
  14. tmac in defence. not sure that’s a long term good idea.
  15. probably the best backline in the league is getting chopped up by superb delivery and leasing patterns
  16. salem on bont. really? we’re a mess at the moment.
  17. and not a moment of quiet from the PA do we talk to our mates about the footy. Someone from the AFL has been on an all expenses paid tour of US basketball to study ā€œactivationā€. Hate it
  18. Roos harder at it too. with a loud supporter base here

He just wasn't asked the right questions. That's how adversarial hearings work. If your counsel doesn't know (or get) good advice, then the 'tribunal/court' only hears one side's expert

All too late, but I was surprised that the biomechanical evidence wasn't challenged. Sure, once he had left the ground, his trajectory was ballistic, and he couldn't alter it. But actually, the trajectory of his centre of mass was ballistic. He was perfectly able to reconfigure his body around that centre of mass - he chose to go into a bump configuration. He could have done otherwise. NRL has eliminated the kicker being flattened like Gus was.
  21. Max post game ā€œSome intersting free kicksā€ā€¦.
  22. burn the place down. sitting through that AGAIN 9.17
  23. I reckon the crowd is 70/30 Carlton’s way. It’s so noticeable. What do other D landers here think?
  24. What’s up with May? Looks very disgruntled on the Teev… Injured?
  25. We just don’t have the players in the forward line. Put Petty and Melksham into the team, and it all looks very different. Laurie is not in the same ballpark as Brayshaw. And bring back Burgess - we’re being outrun on transition. Rivers having not such a good game…
