    not guilty your honour 😇
  2. What five words did you choose to describe the club in the membership survey? wasted-generational-list communications-binfire

Was thinking the same thing myself!. Peas in a pod, those two. Either would make a huge difference to this bin fire.
  4. This is the most likely outcome. Shades of keep Schwab and sack Dean Bailey
  5. We won a flag on the back of Peter Jackson and Paul Roos - they turned us into a destination club. Enough smarts in the coaching box (Yze) to help Goodwin get over the line, and the best fitness/high performance bloke in the land (?world) in Burgess. We now have amateur hour at the top (mistaking corporate speak for leadership), coaching stagnation, and serious concerns about fitness/high performance. Turn back the clock. How did we let it fall so fast, so quickly?
  6. This looked like a mid 2000 Melbourne game - in the dark dark times. Beaten on the inside, killed for pace on the outside, other team looks even faster because of their delivery skills. Missed tackles. We're desperately short of AFL grade personel, not hard enough, not skilled enough. I don't want to go back to the days of 3:20 Sunday games agains the Suns at the G with 9000 in attendance. But that's where we're heading unless we have a rejuvenation. Peter Jackson, where are you?
  7. goodbye 2024
  8. they’d miss
  9. Goodwin's press conference had that slightly-[censored]-off tone that I rather like. He never gives anything away, win or lose, but he did have a bit of a point to make today. Good on him. I'm not a huge fan, but kudos to him on today's performance
  10. JNM, did you mean "well, we'll wait to the end of the season and sort that all out" when asked if he was going to North?

I wasn’t there and couldn’t watch it online. I wonder about the influence of Melksham on our forward line. I reckon he’ll be a very good coach one day. Maybe even is one already?
  18. I noticed that after TMac kicked that ripper goal on the run, he sprinted off in celebration, and from what I could see on the Teev, didn’t acknowledge the pass from Tholstrup. Sure, I might be over-interpreting it, but I didn’t like it.
  19. and who did Long coat hanger and hospitalise in the 2000 grand final. only Schwartz remonstrated.
  20. the loss of burgess has had a seriously negative effect on our performance
  21. Goodwin press conference: Inconsistency is the issue. Nothing to do with personnel. I reckon consistency is the new learnings. (Sure, never gives anything away at the press conference. I get that - but that loss (second shocker in 3 weeks) needed a bit more, I reckon)
  22. WC very good MFC not very good Work to do by everyone coaches and players Nothing of value - but there never is in Goodwin's press conferences, and I can understand why. Incredibly frustrating, but why would he give anything to a pack of hyenas?
  23. that’s how teams beat us pre Yze. now we beat ourselves
  24. everyone knew how to beat the old melbourne- outside run and don’t commit too many to the contest. the new melbourne is harder to beat, so we helpfully do that ourselves with lousy score return on forward entries. When do we think about a change of forward coaching personnel. Everyone knows it’s a pattern. everyone knows that’ if it’s fixed, we win big. it’s been happening for years.
