  1. This… How about putting Harmes on Martin. He’s done good defensive work before, and he’s not contributing anything much now
  2. kick it short. run hard. an unsurprising way to beat melbourne
  3. W here have I seen this before? Dominate possession and field position and waste it.
  4. and how about Melk runs at the ball instead of hoping for the over the top?
  5. i’m not sure how bad this looks on tv, but it’s appalling here fast breaks, short kicks make lever accountable any thought, Goody? Any changes to ring?
  6. how to beat melbourne make lever accountable kick short
  7. Lever practising goal kicking pre match. what would D Barrett say 😂😂😂 and it’s freezing and at the moment, more seagulls than fans…
  8. (My emphasis) 100% I have watched them a few times this year (don't ask...) - and they play to different instructions from our forwards/mids 16th --- SIXTEENTH!!! in forward line retention
  9. An interesting statistical (?gold) mine. But I agree with the sentiment: https://t.co/8778tcz1r0
  10. He is a very good player, and we owe him plenty. He's not Dusty Martin - who would have kicked one or more of those goals (not just "those goals" this week...) I don't know what the answer is.
  11. If you haven't experienced the environment at a Port or Crows (or Eagles) game, it's hard to describe. Yep - both games in our finals run in 2018 felt like we owned the G. We don't get much of that during the year. I was in Adelaide last week and went to the Port game with the son and heir, and then went on Saturday. Chalk and cheese, and I have to believe that it affects even our most professional, self-motivated, and internally driven players (I will make no mention of the umpires). As I said on Saturday's game day thread, the game had 2041 Melbourne vs Freo at 4:20 on Sunday vibes. Freezing, empty stands, polite clapping. Freo supporters made as much noise as we did, with tiny numbers.
  12. I want to hear from Alan Richardson. When he coached the Saints, they would regularly beat us .I reckon he's a very good game-day coach, and runs the show well. What does he think of a backline which is one tall short (and therefore cripples Lever)? Of a forward line with TMac getting in everyone's way? What does he make of Langdon's form? What happened to Spargo? Of course, even if he were to give an interview or two, he wouldn't say anything, but <anything> is better than listening to Goodwin.
  13. that needs petty and may to take the contested marks, freeing lever up. we’re one tall short in the backline. opponents are playing through levers man.
  14. l completely agree. Jackson stood up and was close to BOG. I don’t know where our problem is but the list isn’t that different from the great year. we’re been worked out and i’m not sure we have a plan B against anyone but North and Hawthorn who can beat on pure talent alone
  15. i can’t help but think we are wasting a list
  16. chandler subbed out for jordan i think
  17. That woman has a voice like a chainsaw
  18. not sure if serious, but it feels really bad here. lots of pointing, players feeling hardly done by. not controlling the things they can control. second to the ball.
  19. Thank heavens for the defence. Nothing happening forward of the ball. Langdon can’t get into it. Spargo of his game. Are we being out coached? (non rhetorical question)
