20 degree maximum, slight chance of a shower, wind speed in afternoon 11 km/hr. In other words, ideal weather for a full forward,

Insightful and spot on Mr. Steve. Each game so far we learn something, such as ability to accelerate when challenged, improved game plan, players to next level (e.g.Langdon), skills etc. This week we will see in a big test if the juggernaut continues or the team is , as in the past, appearing self-satisfied. So for me Its a tough mental test for all and will go a long way to predicting the year.

At Round 6 Dees have beaten 3 of last years finalists incl the 2 gf teams. Not bad in my book. According to on the vouch tonight the score against dees for inside 50's % is the powrst at Rnd 6 since records on this stat negan. Kudos MayLeverSalemTomlinsonRiversHunt and team supporting defensive efforts.

haters gonna hate Dazzle. Wishing a proud team (with Barassi as its inaugral premiership coach no less) to fold IS disgraceful. Over and out.

This is a disgraceful post. No question. Disrespectful, especially from where the Dees are coming from in the last 10 years. Evidence of how quickly the media(BT and Ch7) jumped on Kossie for pointing at the scoreboard and the need for Goodwin to give some quiet and probably thoughtful advice on skiting behaviour(assumed by me) is a risk to be managed. The marketing team would have been mortified at this instance. The upside of remaining focussed and just playing well without the fanfare for me was the 2018 first semi against the Cats. It was a 95% Dees crowd of the 90K in attendance, and Max said after it felt like a home game at Optus Oval with the crowd on our side. Worth a couple of goals maybe? That's what we need now. Crap posts and attitudes won't deliver it. I trust in Goodwin, Williams, Yze (and even the new President Roffey) et al will see us well in this regard.

Which would prove that they also can't spell.

Good call. And I expect the team to be either 10 - 0, or 9 - 1, at the end of 10 rounds, with tonights game being the unknown.

I see tonight as a great chance to prepare for a finals-type atmosphere for later in the season. The result is important of course but the experience will be invaluable also for the future. - both players and new coaching team.
-
Not really. 11 last quarter possessions last week. Looks like he belongs at this stage
-
On the contrary. Huge advantage to kangas

Incredible, and most changes are omissions

In the late 60's early 70's a close relative of mine was the Tiger President's PA in a company at which he worked. In those days club presidents all had day jobs, unlike the well-heeled types today. (Post Ray Dunn as background) He was the lovliest of men, polite , kind and courteous. Except on Monday mornings when the Tiges had won and he was unbearable. Although my relative wasn't a Tiges fan, he provided free Grand Final tickets for that family every year. They have a long and proud history of this behaviour so don't be surprised. Its just a fine tradition.
-
Above to me will be the 'fascinating' part of the game if it turns out this way. According to The Age defence article this morning, when comparing Dees and Tiges, both teams rank No. 1 for final 1/4 efforts. Both have won all 5 last 1/4's If its close both will think they have a chance - which will be true in fact.
-
Except the article had the same measure for Richmond who were 7th best, and a score of 7.9???
-
What a disaster of a post. Thanks. meant to be short
-
Shaky? - Scary was what we were thinking and , albeit never having seen him before, wonderered what the hype was that he got a game. He did improve and showed courage in later plays so hopefully its an experienec thing only.

Perefct timing. Big occasion, big audience for first impressions for everyone, home game. She's smart -
Looks like another episode of Vera coming up for me. I like Dees Sunday 3.20 though.

The final stat in this article is : " Scores against per inside 50's conceded" MFC result: 18.9 (1st in the Comp) Can anyone explain what this means. The higher the score the better it is apparently. 18.9 goals 18.9 point 18 Goals 9 behinds?????? (Iv'e got a maths degeree but I wish some analysts/journalists would re-read what they write before hitting enter) Thanks in anticipation

Tony Anderson was a gun defender and got tetanus from memory and was never the same after being out fror ages, although still pretty good.
-
Agreed , but Hunt seems to be under different instructions now from his earlier days pre-2017 as a half back when he'd generally run and gun with a long , often ill directed kick. Now he runs anytime, but then passes off directly to an opponent with well executed shoter, 30m , passes. I suspect he's been told no more long kicking or just doesn't need to anymore. He has now come into his own, along with some gut running to become a link player outlet when needed.

Followed up by jack Viney's pile on. Nowadays jacks joined bigtime by Oliver who doesn't put up with nonsense to himself or teamates
