  1. Hibberd is a proven defender and i really worry that he is not on the ground. Cameron and Smith need closing down. I hope Goody is on top of this.
  2. He's barely best 22 - if at all.
  3. And Zac Bailey - he is the threat IMO. Harmes maybe????
  4. Good effort. I think your'e on the money here Rev. Port are not in Lions class. Cats are gone Sydney well coached enough and Longmire will get them to a prelim. But May has Buddys measiure so its over them for them. May has Danihers measure, so over for them to in GF.
  5. My son was born 3 weeks early. It happens. Alarm bells ringing here
  6. You and WOKoz clearly don't work in the marketing and sales dept of the club. Have you no idea how rapt those guys are on our success. They pay the bills by the way. Lighten up and enjoy the ride for gawn's sake!
  7. A great post. I'd forgotten that Goody is demed by many as the 'greatest' Crows skipper so far. And I bet they still love Jake Lever. Just don't admit it within earshot of Tex. Todd Viney - former SA junior and 45 games with Sturt - thus a tenuos link for young Jack, Steven Stretch, Graeme Molloy, John Tillbrook............................ Huge SA links.
  8. They both stand between the cup and any other team getting it. Will be in as a duo for sure. I think Salem is the other key to us as shown we he was out or off his game. He's in also I reckon. Unlike Daniel Rich who can be exposed, Salem can't be.
  9. game time comparisons: Dees vs Eagle: gawn 96% NicNat 61% Dees vs Cats (must win game) Gawn 87% Eagles vs Swans (must win game) NicNat 73% More game time allows Max to run down oponents and work up and down the ground, liske this week. Nic's great on the tap but I would rather the skipper out there longer than 3/4/or less of a game.
  10. Only if its to do with who's the better player. If its to do with leadership (which is what a skipper role is about) - its Gawn by a mile.
  11. And he's only still 25. Huge number of seasons to look forward to for him - and us.
  12. Max said on Triple M that they both made eye contact and understood the plan. Brilliant piece of football, out-thinking 6 Geelong defenders.
  13. Hamish said the Cats have NEVER been beaten when 32 points or more ahead at 3/4 time. Until last night. And as Jordan lewis said on Kayo , in the finals if the Dees are down by a few goals at 1/2 time they will still think they can win (as with the Lions game this season) The cats now on the other hand when being ahead will think......
  14. Good point. If thats likely gee we have a problem with decision making then. Although it also happended to the Dees in Adelaide ealy in the first loss of the season.
  15. He said as much when asked about tweaks and mods to turn the game around. I'm not divulging anything on that topic was his reply. Classy!
  16. I give Chris Scott credit for acknowledging the " strange" decisons at the end including Brayshaw's. He can't say anything more critical otherwise he gets fined for free speech by the AFL. But having said that there were 4 blatant frees to the Dees in the last 3 minutes not paid, incl holding the ball, in the back, and importantly the unpire warning danger to move out of Levers zone. He should have been paid a 2nd 50. Selwood did a deliberate also at that time not paid. Thos umpires I suspect can pack up their gear - season over on last nigth's performance from them.
  17. Sorry your right, I just felt this was the most unlikely scenario. They would need to beat the Cats in week 1. If not then they will never have a choice of ground for the Prelim. Anyone playing them from the Week 1 winners will opt for Gabba or Optus I would have thought.
  18. Absolutely they will. My son and i went to the Dees vs Port game in Adelaide in 1998. Dees won kicking 13 goals to 7 after 1/4 time and putting us into the 8 in Danihers first season. My son wore his Dees jumper at the airport going home that afternoon and was asked by multiple Adelaide residents who won and were rapt when he told them the Dees had. Adelaide truly hate Port. It will be a help for us in this scenario. Probaly even be happy for ex- favourite son Jake Lever.
  19. And I don't care what anyone says, Port are the worst 2nd place team in many seasons. And last night 1 goal in a half against one of the poorer defences. Cats (although without Stewart is a complication), Lions and Dees will deal with them.
  20. Don't agree. Our biggest threat is meeting Port in a knockout final in Adelaise. That most likely dissappearde as a scenario last night no matter what happens.
  21. Sesnsible summary I reckpm NS. I am also looking at the positive from last night and that is if we lose tonight we play Port in Week 1, then importantly not again unless we both make the GF. Any prelim we make WILL not be against Port at their home ground. The same applies if we win tonight. We won't then meet Port in a prelim at Adelaide. We will get the option of ground selection We will overall avoid the only team with a huge home ground opportunity until a GF and that will be in Perth anyway.
  22. Brilliant tangent. Well done.
  23. Port with a single goal in a half. Pretenders or what?
  24. I note that his cousin was H.C.A. Harrison. Rememeber the good old days when the players had to front up at Harrison House for the tribunal. It was hilarious then too. What are the odds of a venue for the Tribuanal/MRP being named "Christian House." Pretty long I would have thought.
  25. Bowey looks like (watching his interview) that he belongs at home with his Mum he's so young. But he seems , so far, to look 10 years older on the field in terms of thinking ability, execution, eacts under pressure. Reminds me of James Jordan, who looked from Game 1 against Freo that he can handle the big time and belonged. I hope he gets back in too.
